Tbh I think that they are jumping the gun, Trump is rambling so incoherently it is hard to know exactly who he is labelling “bad people”.

I think they are better waiting, he does usually double down so would not be surprising is he made an explicitly insulting remark about the cemetery staff - his treatment of the Kahn Gold star family being just one example of many.

I just happen to be one of those nerdy polling political peeps and this is about the only venue I have to share the joke with anyone who might have the vaguest notion of what I’m babbling about :lol:

100 percent.

Basically:
  • RCP is a right wing site with a well presented polling average, which is a good and interesting idea, but they sometimes include some pretty iffy polls, which are often right sided hack pollsters.
  • Trafalgar is one of the worst pollsters out there, and tends to pretty massively favour Republicans.
  • Harris was not estimated to be winning in the RCP averages even though by most reliable polls, she should be assumed favourite, and now she's finally projected to win on RCP.
  • Therefore, a massively in the tank Republican poll will probably come out of nowhere to pull Harris back down on their averages.

Imo Pretty neutral tbh - doubt the interview itself either hurt or helped her much.

But it did take a major GOP talking point off the table and it covered several of the “landmine” issues so other interviewers less likely to focus on tthem to avoid “old news”. So overall I expect her campaign to be pretty pleased with the outcome.
