More representative that you Dave

The question is, will they hold more sway than the Uncommitted National Movement - who reject such short term solutions?:

Waleed Shahid

The Uncommitted movement’s success at the DNC is not the end, but the beginning of a larger struggle. It’s a struggle that will require patience, strategy, and unwavering commitment. As Rustin so wisely put it, the difference between expediency and morality in politics is the difference between selling out a principle and making smaller concessions to win larger ones. The Uncommitted movement is here to bend the arc toward justice — not just for Palestinians, but for the broader vision of a Democratic Party that truly represents the values of its base. And I believe, with every action we take, that we’re going to win.

Trump doesn't think laws apply to him, it is just one more example to add to a long list.

The campaign also smeared the Arlington employee by saying she was having a "mental health episode" and she has decided not to press charges as she is (understandably) concerned about retaliation from Trump fans. The whole campaign is rotten to the core.

I'm study military history as a general interest of mine. For example, I'm well aware of the below

and
the below

etc

There's just a complete lack of self awareness of those people, they think that normal rules don't apply to them. I mean who would seriously want to get a photo opportunity in a grave site. It's not an official act, as he's not commander in chief. Its the middle of an election.

I find the whole thing bizarre and bad taste. It's also I fear a sign of things to come with him and them, if he did get in again.

I liked John McCain. He was clearly someone you could have a serious conversation with and someone with clear integrity that didn't put himself first.

I find the whole thing a sad joke.

That article says "The next few weeks, months, and years, hopefully under a Harris administration, will be about solidifying and expanding this coalition." - that doesn't seem to be implying they will be abstaining or not supporting Harris, quite the reverse.

It implies to me that they hope for it to happen with their support if they're given reason too.

How could it not be that? Otherwise the Uncommitted Movement would be defunct.

They could have stated that plainly if they had wanted to - they didn’t. Seems like a deliberately ambiguous statement.

The POTUS choice is between Harris and “Muslim Ban” Trump whose major donor is Miriam Adelson.
Miriam Adelson sought support from candidate Trump for Israel's annexation of the West Bank. She pledged more than $100 million to Trump’s campaign in exchange for US recognition of Israeli sovereignty over Palestinian territory West Bank, where there would be no Palestinian Authority or peace accord.[42][43][44]

Ultimately it is their vote and they will have to make a choice or abstain from voting for anyone.

Yes, it's ambiguous for the reason I stated: they're still looking for movement from the Democratic ticket to make constructive noises to examine their policy of arming an apartheid regime. It's wriggle room. They dont want to close that dialogue off and close down the space for a development that can allow them to advise their members to support Harris.

I mean, they might yet conjure up between them a compromise solution for each to save face: something that allows Harris not to antagonise Jewish voters and something that can pacify the base of the UNM.
