PA is going Harris regardless, even before the VP pick. The only reason PA was close before to leaning Trump was b/c Biden was viewed as too old for the job.
Walz will certainly play well here. I see PA going to Harris by at least the same margin as 2020.

Yep so far Harris had a lot of “good vibes” and momentum and so one key aspect of choosing her VP pick (apart from him actually being decent if elected) was that he didn’t rile up one segment or other of a rather large tent.
Kelly’s weakness was with unions for instance otherwise I think she might have gone for him.
Walz hasn’t got many downsides with any of the Dem coalition. We’ll see how many swing voters he can persuade but given people really vote for the President it is debatable how many of those there are left with such well known characters as Trump and Harris.
In addition to this, the number one reason to go with Walz is relatability. He's rural. Can't be viewed as a coastal elite by any stretch. He's a football coach. A teacher. Just kind of your average Joe.
That's going to play very well on the fringes in swing states. It softens the ticket around the edges.
