Current Affairs 2024 POTUS race

Remember when this election was about the rule of law, and the Democrats all agreed they needed to unify behind Biden?

Turns out they're not capable of unity.
From an outsider's perspective, I would suspect their worry is that Biden's capability is reducing drastically, and his showing could worsen before November.

Is he going to last anywhere near the full-term of office, too? I'm certainly a severe critic of Trump, yet Biden's ability to govern is a genuine concern.

There's been several faux pas in the past few weeks that I've seen myself, only with a cursory glance. Is he really leading the nation or is he being propped up?

I do not know enough about US politics to gauge the impact of replacing Biden or who would step into the void, but it does feel as if it is playing into Trump's hands.

The present narrative benefits two sets of people on the Democratic side. Pushing Biden out benefits Representatives and Senators defending contested seats, who are concerned about down-ballot effects. They're already likely to outperform Biden, or any replacement.

It also benefits members of center and center-left media outlets, who are under enormous pressure to generate the clicks that pay the bills, including their salaries.

What will doom Biden is if leadership members like Schumer, Durbin, Jeffries, Clark and Aguilar end up having to tell him he would lose a no-confidence vote within the party. Howard Baker Jr. informing Nixon that he didn't have 34 votes in the Senate to acquit was what convinced Nixon to resign. A century earlier, Andrew Johnson decided to go down swinging and survived by a single vote.

So you have never heard of Fox News then?
I'd say for much of the primaries first time around Fox was not exactly friendly to Trump, it certainly wasn't pro Trump at that point. Fox News was a fairly typical Republican institution, a tested politician like Jeb Bush was much preferred over a political newcomer such as Trump. The most anti-Trump question in the entire Republican debates was at a Fox News debate and delivered by a Fox News anchor.

I explicitly said 'most' media coverage was hostile, I did not say all coverage was hostile. You're reading comprehension is either that of a small child or you are suffering cognitive dissonance.

Can’t leave me hanging! Link please

I would have tossed it right away, but I'm in that three days where I run out of data at the end of a thirty day cycle, so it takes a minute.

I caught AT&T in a moment of weakness during COVID where they were offering 16 GB for $25 a month, and now they're stuck, so I'm not complaining.
