Probably depends on how sincere you believe her evolution has been.

She wouldn’t be the first (or last) politician to look at her voter demographics (Hawaii state has elected just one Republican U.S. senator, Hiram Fong, who served from 1959 to 1977, and two GOP House members - rest have been Democrats) and realize that some evolution is required in order to achieve personal political ambition.

I agree previous politicians of all stripes have made us lose faith in the sincerity of their words. Tho' with Tulsi I've got a good feeling she's genuine.

Evening Darren.

check her out, carlos, she could be president one day:

I’d be a tad more convinced about her sincerity if she used her multiple Fox news spots to argue for those rights rather than just whine about how mean Google and the Democratic party are to her.

That Google Ad situation is a huge issue! Fundamental. And she's on Fox because the others won't have her on to talk about these things.

Respect to Fox for allowing freedom of debate. Seems a long time ago now they were the (deserved) butt of Jon Stewart's jokes.

I disagree but even if I didn’t isn’t access to reproductive healthcare and not being discriminated in your job because of your sexual orientation pretty darn fundamental too? And yet Tulsi only seems to use her extensive media exposure (despite her claims she has had lots of coverage across all press, certainly compared to her anemic polling) to discuss the one that affects her personally,

What you referring to, Legs?

The Google Ad situation reveals an unaccountable dominant media force effectively picking and choosing which candidates get exposure by mysterious secretive methods.

Do you know what happened? Every candidate has an Adsense account, so that after every debate their presence is pushed during the inevitable worldwide google-surge within the first 24 hours. Tulsi's Adsense account was deactivated for 12 hours directly after her first debate. No explanation before, during or after.

Even Warren understands this kind of power is getting out of hand.

The Stasi would've loved Google.

I’m referring to multiple assaults by republican legislators to decimate Roe vs Wade and the fact that the Trump admin has now banned trans service members from serving in the military. As someone whose views have apparently evolved in both these areas it would be particularly persuasive, especially in her Fox news segments, if Tulsi explained why her views changed and how important those rights are - and yet I see no evidence she does.

Sure she has the usual boilerplate on her page https://www.tulsi2020.com/?ms=G_ads...Zl1nvTm24eLQ-oF3bP80gY2HNgLq5pCBoCzBUQAvD_BwE but very little evidence of her addressing those topics proactively.

i can think of plenty of innocent explanations for the Adsense issue - my Occam's razor will almost always default to incompetence rather than sinister particularly as I‘d have no idea the motivation, imo she isn’t that appealing a candidate that anyone would worry about what she says!

But if she is genuinely concerned about people’s access to online information why hasn’t she made a big issue of Modi (a leader she has repeatedly met, praised and could potentially influence) shutting down the web in Kashmir for 4 months? Surely that is a bigger isdue affecting more people than Tulsi not getting her Google Ads for 12 hours?!

Is that just a throw away comment or do you believe that because of foxes journalistic standards, they are no longer being teased by the likes of Stewart?

they are still being teased, but it's no longer funny nor particularly justified.

the impartiality of the current crop of talk-show hosts with their paid-for biases is common knowledge, whereas Jon Stewart in his heydey was celebrated.

Although I agree google interfere and do dubious things their explanation was pretty legitimate. Most if not all companies have auto disabling to protect themselves and customers from fraud.

The fact Gabbard doesnt seem concerned there may have been an issue within her campaign nor has she explained or showed proof there was no issue on her end that caused this.

As for the second claim she makes about the email going to spam that's just Trump level conspiracy nonsense. Firstly she would have know.way off knowing or proving that.

Finally Google have proven they will work for anyone who pays them the most money. They could care less about left and right. If they did they wouldn't have met the president nor would they have petitioned against laws that California Democrats wanted to change that barely affected them

Many on Googles board vote Republican too. I know several people on their board and run in similar tech circles as others

I like Gabbard but she will ruin her chance being a conspiracy theorist. Until she offers proof there is no good going on she just sounds crazy

She's been the most-searched for candidate after every debate, despite the politically-motivated Ad-cull. She's so interesting and dangerous to the democratic establishment (due to her pacifist stances) that Democrat-grandee and warmonger Hillary Clinton accuses of her of being a Russian asset, in an effort to discredit her.

Those issues of abortion etc are important sure, but why should Tulsi talk about them when her views are clear and established? The Adsense scandal is far more pressing at the fundamental political-freedom level. No way was it incompetence, the timing was too perfect.

it's not important who is Republican or Democrat, it's important who will play ball with the military industrial complex. even Trump admits he's essentially powerless against them.

It does if she thinks there is a conspiracy.

To prove political bias she has too prove what their motive and skin in the game is. If google are working for their own interests then they would do the same to the popular democrats especially Warren and Sanders.

Gabbard is fringe in terms of the big 4 candidates in the eyes of Democratic voter and even the Republicans. No analyst on any channel sees her as a front runner from either side. The fact she appears on Fox it's clear she is trying to generate sympathy from the right and using it to attack the other left candidates. Plus fox wont challenge conspiracy talk

I doubt Trump and his campaign see her has a threat and would happily run against her.

She cannot prove anything in her claims and.has nothing to back it up. She wont provide any evidence either.

It always matters which side is motivating google to attack her if that's what she feels. Thing is.if she believes the Democrats are behind it surely then Trump would love to get involved.
