Pete Buttigieg’s campaign jolted its top donors with big news on a conference call last month: The upstart mayor had raised $7 million in the month of April alone, as much as Buttigieg had in his entire eye-catching first quarter in the presidential race.

The huge April haul, which was previously unreported, highlights Buttigieg’s explosive rise in the Democratic presidential race — and Buttigieg hopes to do it again next month by announcing a top-tier second quarter haul that at least doubles his last campaign finance report, putting the 37-year-old among the biggest fundraisers seeking the presidency in 2020 and cementing his leap from long shot status at the beginning this year.

Was listening to NPR yesterday and the show had to Dem experts on talking about the 2020 race. Both were all in for Biden and were deaf to everyone that suggested that he would face the same problems Clinton did.
When a caller suggested Sanders was genuine, the response he got was "Sanders honeymooned in the USSR".
This illustrates the fact (which @abelard has been highlighting), that the DNC haven't learned anything.
Unfortunately, Biden does stand a good chance of winning Pennsylvania and Florida and therefore the general election.
My fear for Warren is that she may be peaking too soon and that people might get sick of her catchphrases and selfie lines by next year.

it's funny, I guess he tweeted like this in 2016 but it didn't annoy me.
It seems petty now tho, maybe because Warren is a progressive candidate.

Bit of a walkback on the “everyone else is a billionaire shill” line

Although new Monmouth poll is out and not only is Warren slighly ahead of Sanders but much of the growth seems to be in the liberal wing so gping to be interesting to see if Sanders surrogates start directly targeting Warren for criticism.

I love Bernie but Warren can easily be a great alternative to him. She has a lot of the same ideas and stances he does AND she actually has plans to back it up.

Can summarise what is going on in general? I don't read much of news about Democratic primaries, so what is the consensus? Biden to challange Trump? uh I will be disgusted.. How are Sanders' and Warren's chances?
