"Left" and "right" are such redundant terms nowadays and just serve to allow media to funnel people into binary modes of thought. And it works in large chunks of the US. It's become such a team sport that there is a whole section of their society who can't see that their president is a rapist tax fraud who acts like a 12 year old girl on the internet and is running their country into the ground. It's as plain as effing day like

Maybe, certainly a bit of a creep on occasion. But this is what I mean. Trump's blatant chasmic failings as both a man and a president have nothing to do with anything or anyone else. Regardless of who he runs against, he has been a catastrophe in office, clearly has the mental and emotional capacity of a 12 year old (that's not a joke or exaggeration), is almost certainly a traitor and a criminal, doesn't know or care to find out anything on which he has to make decisions (including bombing and killing), has systematically crippled America's ability to deal with a crisis and is now indirectly responsible for the deaths of thousands because he hasn't the slightest idea of what he's doing. It's obvious to anyone with a modicum of sense that he is catastrophically out of his depth and probably the stupidest man to hold high office since Commodus, but his supporters somehow can ignore this by saying "whatterbout Obarmaaa" to themselves repeatedly.

Biden, for all his failings, is in a different league in terms of his intelligence, emotional constitution and ability. That's not me praising him, because most people destroy Trump in all of those categories

The two don't belong in the same equation. Biden has been in a position of power, and any assessments of his time there is a matter of degrees. Trump is catastrophicically inept, and has the mental constitution of a particularly crap child. Biden has a case to be there, President Bone Spurs shouldn't be let into a ball pool unsupervised

Bernie was too nice to go after Biden personally. He was probably too left leaning (because sharing wealth is terrible apparently) to ever win but it's amazing that the American people would prefer either Biden or Trump.

Oh ffs. It needs to be stated here, because you're fixating on this, but neither man has been convicted of rape. Biden is a bad candidate in that run of the mill, uninspiring, patchy political record sort of way. But any criticism aimed at him is at a much higher level. Bone Spurs fails at the most basic metrics of human competency and decency. They are not in the same league

I don't care who the actual person nominated is, I will be voting for whoever isn't Trump come November. Would I want it to have Bernie? Absolutely. But as long as Trump is gone then Im good.

Imagine Sanders elected president and gearing up for his first hundred days of pushing his initiatives for a more equitable society by reaching out to coordinate the congressional networks and coalitions he's built over his long oh wait.

Seriously, I was watching him on the night of SC and he had a stage full of young people who look like they were paid to be there. They looked like they could just not care any less.
