And that pisses me off. Vote for who YOU want to be President in the primaries and then vote for whoever it winds up being. "Electability" concerns went out the damn window when Trump got the nomination for the GOP much less won.

having spoke to them this morning they voted Bernie so they went with their conscience , I don’t see much wrong with considering your position and the future especially when the future is another four years of trump . you could certainly be right by the way but I suspect many labour supporters could argue against you.

That's the issue in the States tho, it's only Republican or Democrat. You vote for who you want now, vote for whomever will screw you the least in the general.

I get that mindset. However, at this particular point in time, who I personally want to be President is “not Donald Trump” and I doubt I’m the only one who feels this way. That’s why electability matters in the primary.

Even though I live in a state that will be solid red in November, I know a lot of people who voted for Trump in 2016 that have a good deal of “buyers remorse” after seeing how he’s conducted himself as President, and will not be voting for him again. At the same time, these people almost unanimously consider Bernie to be a little to far left, and would probably just sit the election out if he were the nominee. I imagine this is probably the case all over the country, and when you’re talking about an election that will probably hinge on 250k or less votes in about 5 states, it becomes an important consideration.

I’m not super excited about Biden, but at this point I’d be more than happy to have a President who is trying to help the nation take a few modest steps forward as opposed to four more years of a guy trying to drag us backwards.
