It is the Bernie supporters who seem nervous that their candidate hasn’t got enough votes in the primary to knock out an aging Biden that aren’t really feeling the Bern tbh ;)

I could be overly sensitive here, but I see a lot of similarities to how Corbyn was portrayed in the press. About 80% of the articles written about him were about how unelectable he was until it basically became true, and these from outlets that should have been on his side. I'm not saying he would have won otherwise, but "left" moderates seem almost incapable of rallying around a candidate they don't like for the greater good, whereas the Republican party congealed around Putin's tangerine hand-puppet as soon as they saw what side their bread was buttered on. Instead of a million nervous articles about how America isn't ready for a socialist, it would be nice to see the people decide for themselves.

They will if he wins the nomination, but he has to earn the nomination first!

Lots of the other candidates have had their weaknesses pointed out by the press, about how America isn’t ready to vote for x candidate - up to Bernie to prove them wrong, same as Obama (won’t elect an African American) did and Clinton (won’t elect a woman) didn’t.

They're in the process of doing so.

Sanders' popularity is an encouraging measure of how much more amenable to left politics a substantial part of the electorate has become. It would've been nigh unthinkable just ten years ago, so progress is ongoing, but whether there's a sizable enough constituency for it remains to be seen. And we'll see soon enough.

The one hope is that Sanders is approximately 7 times the politician Corbyn is
