FFS...Zac Goldsmith running again!
Oh dear...
FFS...Zac Goldsmith running again!
Ambition means different things to different people.
Your mum's idea of ambition may be to get into the nicest possible school with great results. Other teachers will actually prefer to go into a poor performing school in a rundown area and try to make a real difference to kids who need it. For example, Teach First is aimed at top performing graduates and places the people in those schools.
Neither idea of ambition is incorrect, but I think it's unfair to suggest that teachers doing great jobs in those schools are the lesser equivalent of teachers in private schools who are probably assisted by an easier working environment.

No, got to make this clear, that's not what I'm saying - her ambition is to be able to perform to the best of her ability and have the tools to do so - as in not having to write to parents to beg for funds. There's a difference.
Nice of Boris to intervene in the election over the past hours - simultaneously warning of the danger that Corbyn represents, whilst also trying to start a war with the Russians, because of a chemical weapons attack on a village controlled by al-Qaeda's Syrian wing.
The bigger intervention today was from Blair - again, talking complete sense, but nobody will listen because of who he is.

Didn't he say something about not needing parliamentary approval to bomb Syria too? I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility for this government to stage some sort of Falklands-style military intervention between now and the election to whip up more votes for Diet Thatcher. I might be a little cynical, and I hope it's low down on their list of election strategies, but you would think there's only so much mileage you can get from 'strong and stable' sloganeering.
He did.
Well, at least he didn't say anything about blindly following America into battle eh! Imagine what kind of moron you'd have to be repeat a mistake like tha...
...oh.
he actually said it "would be hard to say no" to Trump, which at least proves he is a natural blonde
So why cannot any government just undo this law or do all Polictical parties like it????On the housing announced today by Labour a million homes in five year term very commendable - just heard a eye opening phone in on LBC any houses built by a council, they cannot keep the revenues as Maggie stopped this in 1979 no,income for councils only to,the private sector !
Duke of Westminster get half a billion in housing benefit - Maggie thatchers junior minister in that era owns 35 council homes for income !
Flabbergasting so why did Blair, Labour governments and Brown governments not reverse this greedy rich policy????
Also Corbyn has not got the sense to reverse it no wonder council taxes have rose so high as the bread and butter of income for councils was stopped in 1979, and never been reversed that means any future housing development stays in the private sector as local government is banned from building houses, and getting any income on rent or Housing benefit - they can build them but have to hand them to the private sector it's just so mad to be true!
