I agree, but you could come up with a better system than pre-1979 though.
Why should local authorities build house on their land then the private sector has all the spoils including the massive housing benefit cash that is just increasing to private landlords how can you not put the system back to pre 1979 it would stop exploitation get council tax down too,
Tell me why two Labour PMs and now Corbyn have not reversed this or in Corbyn case the great socialist no mention of reversing it????

I don't think anyone's called him a great socialist, but at least he has some social values and doesn't lie through his teeth every time he's put on the spot.

He's an idiot, and the Tories would do well to gag him until this is over. There's no need to bully Corbyn - they should just let him dig his own holes and not gain any sympathy from unwarranted attacks from actual idiots like Johnson.

The bigger intervention today was from Blair - again, talking complete sense, but nobody will listen because of who he is.

One of her main reasons for this election is as much so that she can sack Boris in the post election cabinet reshuffle.

The state controlled BBC continue with their Corbyn is not to be elected agenda. The Tory Lara Kuenssberg's report on Johnson's, we will follow Trump no matter what, ended with 'Jeremy Corbyn is vulnerable and they plan to make it hurt'. Astounding. She made no comment on Johnson's bomb Syria without the approval of parliament.

Kenssberg made no mention of the gibberish Johnson was spouting this morning over whether the UK would join in with Trumps 'bombing North Korea' and his refusal to answer the question. Never in a month of Sundays would this arch Tory really question the Tories but will automatically turn all Tory gibberish and indecisions into an attack on Labour.

Thank god Blair has finally come out of the shadows and decided to lead the attempted coup openly against Corbyn. The more Blair is seen in public, and gets a platform in the media, the more it will anger people and do the opposite that this war criminal proposes. As it did over Brexit. Keep it up Tony.

What? Obviously you're happy giving your vote/enstrusting the country to liars and vouching for them, fair enough. I'm not like you joey.
All politicians are liars mate. Some are just better at it (or get away with it more frequently) then others. If your looking for a truly honest politician to vote for I'm afraid you'll be waiting for an awfully long time.

Jack Ashley. If you don't know who he is (not to you, Joey, but the readers of this thread), read this:

A true Parliamentarian and wonderful human being. I believe he always had respect from all sides of the House.

I know it's a cliche, but "they don't make 'em like that anymore."

The 'modern' bunch are self-serving to a man and woman, and would tell a lie for any reason that benefited them.

I think their (and her) colours were nailed to the mast as early as that interview with Corbyn in the immediate aftermath of the Paris shooting.
