Yea, it was the inexperienced youth* that voted labour.

*youth=under 60's, or those that make a living in the real world.
I can't believe people who don't vote in times like these. This time is literally shaping our grandkids'futures with Brexit looming.

Your always going to get that massive number. It's not always born out of ignorance either, admittedly a large number are quite stereotypical and probably are never even awere about elections and such but they aren't the only none voters out there. It's been my belief for a very long time that if they added a "none of the the above" option on voting slips, that would win consistently by a mile almost every election be it local or national for the indefinite future. Some voters simply don't like any of our politicians and refuse to vote for the lesser evil option, it's not an attitude I share but I can understand the trail of thought.

That is true mate. From our own experience I'm tired of those who moan about politicians yet don't go out and exercise their mandate.

Election apathy hit here for a point as we had one at every opportunity but now the sectarian headcount has got things going again.

I think Corbyn played a blinder today at Glastonbury, hands down winning the hearts and minds of the social media era.

I couldn't agree more with you mate. I'm sick and tired of whining fools complaing about Brexit, the government and everything else when they didn't even vote! We're all entitled to out opinions but anyone who chooses not to partake in an Election or referendum or any other form of democracy? Well I really don't have an awful lot of time for them or their opinions truth be told. I really hope that the younger voters who turned out for the first time this year make a habit of voting and hopefully form their own opinions rather then just parrot whatever one individual or party says.

I agree it was a very shrewd move from Corbyn but i still think he's got a lot of work to do to appeal to more then just typical Labour voters and the young. He's got to maintain the youth he's successfully mobilised and then has to broaden his appeal if he wants to stand any chance of winning an election. The Conservatives have their own loyal voter base to so it's never going to be easy for either party to outright defeat the other let alone whipe them out as the ludicrous media foolishly predicated the Tory's would do to Labour.

Not particularly funny like, but yet another anti-May cartoon from a right-wing rag (Telegraph).

Keep it up, but appointing a new leader will only add to the cluster-f---, not reset the support.

Not in a politically alligned way, no. Of course.

But in the context of a "written off, no chance ever," candidate, having the charisma and message that resonates with a lot of people, yeah.

Dont you?

Not even sure why the observation was so vilified.

I think it would have been far more appropriate and correct to conflate the momentum of Corbyn with Bernie Sander's movement.
