Yea, it was the inexperienced youth* that voted labour.
*youth=under 60's, or those that make a living in the real world.
More "inexperienced youth" didnt vote at all than voted Labour.

These things are always wildly inaccurate and never good way to properly judge how people voted.![]()

-or May, as stated. These things are always wildly inaccurate and never good way to properly judge how people voted.
And also the Tories, obviously. Not sure whether you have a point to make, if so, please elaborate.
Do any our of politicians strike you as being sutible to be our national figurehead? I fail to see anyone currently at Westminster who good enough to represent the UK. They're a'll simply verying degrees of awful.
I wouldn't call him wise at all mate. Sly and cunning enough to fool people is more close to what he is.
Possibly the most backhanded compliment ever here Andy, you finally found something you agree with me on after about 1001 times of disagreeing or not even noticing! And even then all I get is a "I actually don't disagree with you" as though your shocked and appalled.I actually don't disagree with you on this mate.
Speaking purely for myself, over the course of the last three General Elections and the EU Referendum, I have done my utmost to ignore the personalities and cast my vote as much as possible purely on the policies put forward by the parties.
This led me to vote Green in the GE's and Remain in the EU Referendum.

You voted Green on all three elections? Interesting. I've voted tactically meyself as I voted for Labour in 2010, Conservatives in 2015 to get the referendum, during which I of course voted out and Labour (reluctantly) this year based solely on Luciana Berger being the best option locally and frankly anything other then Labour is a waste around here.
I try and make my vote based on who i believe is the best candidate but I've also come to recognise that you have to vote tactically for the best of a bad lot if you hope to make a difference. I've not been impressed by any leader of any party (or any politician at all really) for a very long time on either a personality level (which doesn't really interest me truth be told) or political level.
Who said that ?
And I've disagreed with you 1001 times... crikey, I must have been in a good mood
Seriously though, where I am is a rock solid Labour seat so tactical voting would be useless were I not a slightly left of centre kinda guy.
As the years have gone by, I've found myself thinking more and more about the planet and so I make no bones about it, I am a Greenpeace supporter and a card-carrying member of the Green Party... and (in my opinion) the sooner more folks start to consider the environment the better.
We'll have to see how Labour do at the next election because I doubt they'll ever have an easier government to tackle with a worse leader again and I'm doubtful that they'll mobilise the youth quite as effectively next time.
I disagree with this bigly.
Well I would question your ability to vote rationally after seeing that!
We can only wait and see on this one mate but I'm really sceptical that a lot of younger voters will turn out like that again. There's been loads of controversy in the last year of politics with the "bad guys" winning both the referendum and the US election so much so that it's attracted the attention of people who wouldn't normally vote in a million years. I'm unconvinced that this election was anything other then an exception to the rule. If I'm proven wrong then great as I'd rather more people voted but I'm unconvinced.I disagree with this bigly. I hazard a guess the reason that youth turnout elevated in light of previous GEs was because of Corbyn and his policies, and the fact he resonates with millennials/younger generation. I don't think that will fizzle out anytime too and if this election showed anything, it was a growing satisfaction with Corbyn from the younger generation. If he can harness this momentum from that demographic (which I think he can and will do), it'll only set to serve him well during the next election I think.
