Why would a politician try and fool people into thinking he's an incompetent mess? Haha
So people underestimate him. Served him pretty well so far In his career hasn't it? Mayor of London, Foreign Secretary and possible future leader of the Conservative party. Not bad for an incompetent mess is it?

I really don't think that is the case. When you listen to him, he's actually awful. There's no hint of intelligence - just a stereotypical sheltered Eton mess.

He has a somewhat talented team behind him which cover his weaknesses and put forward his 'likeable' personality wherever possible, but he'd have no appeal beyond the south in a GE. The Tories would be mad to make him leader.
Yet he'd still be a better leader then Teresa May, make of that what you will.......

That's not because people underestimate him. If anything, it's because senior Tories overestimate his popularity and see him as a threat, so they keep him placated with different roles.

Agree to disagree. He was elected Mayor of London twice. They don't just give that out with with a happy meal. He played a key part in the winning leave campaign (though he was an obvious remainer who saw the way the vote was going and wanted to be with the winning side). I just don't think he's anywere near as foolish as most seem to bealieve.

Can't stand her!

Everything she said made sense mate. I can't see how it wouldn't even if you wanted Brexit - all she wanted to do was ensure the sovereignty of parliament with the decision, instead of enforcing it via illegal dictatorship which was the original Tory plan, which would have had the whole thing challenged in court over and over again.

Indeed, Brexit supporters should be thanking her.

For wasting tax payers money no thanks!

He is a clown hated outside London if he becomes leader a labour landslide is on!
Disagree here Joey, you truely think he'd do worse then Theresa May and is more disliked then her? Nither Labour or the Tory's will get destroyed by a landslide in the foreseeable future, they have a loyal core voter base that will never desert them. We're going to see loads more hung parliaments and minority governments in the future.

Nah Joey, he mightn't batter it, but he'll do better than May (not hard I know) which is all he's got to do and he has the added bonus of, to all intents and purpose no UKIP and very little Lib-Dem to worry about this time...good luck too, on mobilising the youth vote twice in 12mths, Corbyn has peaked and only managed 262 seats never mind the other 25 or so to avoid being exactly where we are now.

Ask yourself this - If they ditch May (vote winner in it's self) sex up/ tone down (where required) the manifesto, do you think that Labour have it in them to win another 25 seats over their best results for decades?
Not going to happen.

Just because he got elected into positions of power doesn't mean he's not a total flute. Crikey
Ok mate. So he's a total and utter idiot who's repeatedly found high posts in government all by luck with zero ability on his part. What a moron, I'm surprised he can talk and walk at the same time. You don't have to like somebody to aknowlage that they aren't an idiot, I can't stand Johnson but he isn't a fool.

He's a lot more intelligent then you or others give him credit for pal, he just plays at being the fool so people underestimate him. When you look at the appalling standards that we have for leaders of major party's in this country right now, Johnson as national leader sounds less farfetched then you might think.
I didn't suggest he's not an intelligent person, he is and very well educated and travelled.

What I am suggesting is that his persona hardly lends itself to being the national figurehead.
