I'd put a small amount of money on the DUP being told by senior Tories to not do a deal with her.

The Queen then has to look for the person most likely to form an alternative and stable Government, which would naturally be a senior Tory supported by the DUP. Hey presto, no new election and no leadership contest.

Nah, domestic politics in NI means the DUP will support the 'crown'. They'll get a deal done; they're just milking everything out of it first.
