If the Tories are to stay in government for now, they need a leader who can build consensus. However, I think only Cameron and Osbourne could have done that and they've both gone.

You can't run a brexit campaign with a remainer leader.

It can't be Boris if you think it should be a true believer in Brexit. He was never an out voter. He's an opportunist who saw the way the vote was going long before most politicians did and wanted in on the winning side.

I know you might think that, but his economic policies have helped the poor more than most Tory Chancellor's.

Since when does logic have a place in politics though? If the Conservative were going to jettison Theresa May they would definitely not pick such an unpopular figure. They'd be better off sticking with May then running the risk of the disorder that would follow if Osborne was made leader.

I read the readers comments on a couple of their news stories,questioning how so many involved in the fire were illegal immigrants,they didnt deserve help as they were all spongers hard to believe these were people living in Britain today

It's a moot point anyway as Osborne has quit politics and is no longer an MP.
