If the Tories are to stay in government for now, they need a leader who can build consensus. However, I think only Cameron and Osbourne could have done that and they've both gone.
 
You think that slithering snake could get ANYONE onbord? He's hated by just about everyone within the Conservative party just as much if not more then the general public!
I know you might think that, but his economic policies have helped the poor more than most Tory Chancellor's.

Since when does logic have a place in politics though? If the Conservative were going to jettison Theresa May they would definitely not pick such an unpopular figure. They'd be better off sticking with May then running the risk of the disorder that would follow if Osborne was made leader.

It's a moot point anyway as Osborne has quit politics and is no longer an MP.
