No. I would like him involved because he has more experience of the Eu and its workings than anyone else in the Uk. Use him, pick his brain, make the most of what we have..,,,,

Slightly confused here; how is he the go to man. He who likes to insult people (not really a successful negotiation tactic btw)? How is he aware of the inner workings when he didn't really do anything during all those years. He was never really actively involved in the committees. His parliamentary work was a joke (you can see all his questions etc) on the website of the European Parliament. He was successful in the Brexit ordeal but please don't make him an expert or something because he really isn't.

Because it was cowardly to not see out his obligations, when he lead the election in 2015 he made no mention that he'd walk away if he lost the referendum. Nor did he during the referendum itself. It was the exact opposite of honourable to walk away. To resign after an election defeat is following a direct rejection of your party and yourself as a leader, the referendum was no such rejection because if that was the case then pretty much every party leader should of resigned with Cameron as most of them also campaigned to remain and suffered the same defeat.
Think he even said he'd stay on regardless of the outcome IIRC.

Think history will judge him as the worst PM the country ever had, the Britain-breaking bacon-lover.

May won't hold the office for long enough for anyone to count her.

Think he even said he'd stay on regardless of the outcome IIRC.
I'm pretty sure he did. He didn't put much thought into losing though because he just assumed he could smear his way to winning the referendum (hence project fear from his lapdog Osborne). Its easy to understand why he was so confident in his smear tactics when you take into account those same tactics won him two general elections and the party leadership.

The anomaly that is the northern part on the island of Ireland, that is controlled by the UK has been shown constantly over the week-end. And most people don't like what they see. There has been more and more people asking questions why things like this can happen.

Pregnant young girl detained under Mental Health Act after seeking abortion

Monday, June 12, 2017 - 07:39 am
A young girl who asked for an abortion was sectioned in a psychiatric unit, according to a new report.

The Child Care Law Reporting Project has been looking at how children are treated in our legal system.

It has found that one girl was told by a psychiatrist that an abortion was 'not the solution' to her problems.

The girl was detained under the Mental Health Act but was later let go, on the advise of another doctor.

The Abortion Rights Campaign (ARC) have said today they are “disgusted” and “deeply concerned” by the reports that a pregnant child was detained under the mental health act after seeking an abortion.

"Looking at the report, it’s hard not to think that the psychiatrist in this case essentially used the Mental Health Act as a tool to force a child into continuing an unwanted pregnancy because of their own personal beliefs" said ARC spokesperson Linda Kavanagh.

"It is clear we need some process which ensures medical professionals with such conscientious objections cannot block timely health care in critical cases."

Ms Kavanagh also said the report was further evidence that the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act (PLDPA) is not fit for purpose.

Ms Kavanagh said it was “alarming” that the treatment of the girl in this case so closely mirrored previous high profile cases in Ireland.

"The report from the Child Care Law Reporting Project says that the girl and her mother thought she was being transferred to Dublin for an abortion and was instead detained," she said.

"This is a grave breach of trust of a vulnerable young girl and echos the treatment of Ms Y in 2013 who was also detained and lead to believe on several occasions she was getting the abortion she so desperately needed."

“We also saw similar treatment of Ms X in 1992, another suicidal child in need of an abortion who was prevented from accessing the care she needed by the State. That we are still seeing cases of this kind 25 years later is a disgrace and an indictment of successive Governments’ failure to deal with this issue.”

It is high cheek hypocrisy for the DUP to say they are for the Union with the UK, but want to opt out of things that apply to the rest of the UK.

The Tories are about to make a pact with a party whose views are not held by the majority of people in the UK. How are they not held to account when they obstruct UK law being implemented in a part of the UK, because the vote goes against them and they don't agree with the results.

These DUP MPs voted against Gay Marriage,

Gregory Campbell (Londonderry East), Nigel Dodds (Belfast North), Jeffrey Donaldson (Lagan Valley), Rev William McCrea (Antrim South), Ian Paisley Junior (Antrim North), Jim Shannon (Strangford), David Simpson (Upper Bann), Sammy Wilson (Antrim East)". And then used ‘petitions of concern’ to not give the same rights to people in Northern Ireland as the rest of the UK. Some 'defend the Union'. More like we will pick and choose which bits they want to defend.

These are the self same people May is negotiating with. Because of their refusal to implement UK law in Northern Ireland who is too say the will not use ‘petitions of concern’ with other legislation because they don't like it. They should have been reprimanded in Parliament for their refusal to bring UK law to all the UK. It can confidently be said that the UK doesn't support gay marriage. It can confidently be said that the UK will prosecute women in court if they have an abortion.

We can't other regions have the same opt out as those in the North of the island of Ireland?

One of the most extreme political entities in the British Isles, the 8 MPs of the DUP, is to wag the tail of Mrs May's minority Government

It is more than that. The DUP are wagging the tail of the whole UK. May's pact with the DUP has forced people to look at the north of the island of Ireland and they don't like what they see.

This was the article I should have put.

WOMAN FACES TRIAL ON ABORTION CHARGES IN BELFAST
  • image.php
Last week, a 21-year-old woman from Co Down appeared in Belfast Magistrate’s Court facing two criminal charges under the Offences Against the Person Act 1861: taking poisonous substances, namely drugs Mifepristone and Misoprostol, to abort her unborn child, and supplying the same poisonous substances to another person knowing that they were to be used for an abortion.

District Judge Fiona Bagnall confirmed that she had a case to answer and ordered her to stand trial at Belfast Crown Court at a later date.

Welcoming this case, Bernadette Smyth, the director of Precious Life, the leading pro-life group in Northern Ireland, affirmed:

“Abortion is a criminal offence in Northern Ireland, governed by sections 58 and 59 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 and section 25 of the Criminal Justice Act (NI) 1945.

“This case sends out a very clear message that anyone who commits the abominable crime of killing a vulnerable and defenceless unborn child will be held accountable to the law. Let’s remember that in this case and in every abortion there is a silent victim who cannot lift her head to defend herself: the innocent unborn child.

“Those in the medical profession who complain of the ‘chilling effect’ and ‘climate of fear’ because they want to be free from the shackles of threatened prosecution are only reassuring us that the law, no matter how old the legislation may be, is still more powerful than them. Just like any other criminal, if a doctor or anyone else were to distribute abortion pills or perform an abortion, it is in the interests of justice that he or she is caught and brought to trial."

Also commenting on this case, Caitriona Forde, speaking on behalf of Stanton Healthcare Belfast, said:

“Women deserve better than the likes of Women on Web, Marie Stopes, or any other organisation who exploit women and kill their unborn children. What women need is real care and support. Stanton Healthcare Belfast is here to provide that loving care and practical support. We are here to empower women to make the right choice which upholds the value and dignity of both mother and baby."

Precious Life awaits the outcome of the trial".

The Republic's antiquated Abortion laws needs changing as much as in the north. These would put an end to the abortion trips form Ireland to England.

Disappointing to see Michael Gove back in the cabinet. Particularly given his views on environmental issues.

Plus he looks like a frozen jizzwelly filled with sick.

He is a ruthless, conniving, treacherous, backstabbing barsteward.....and he's just been made a cabinet minister because people voted Labour......
