I'm not too sure. They need May just as much. Corbyn is just as likely to help his mates in SF to push for unification of Ireland, the DUP hate him just as much as the tories do.......

They will do a very loose deal, but May will have to drop most of her key policies. Corbyn is literally the only reason why they will keep the government alive. But it's not a workable situation long term, and they won't hesitate in blocking something they don't like. They are pragmatic tho when they want to be. They've struck deals with SF for 20 years. It definitely won't be anything close to a formal coalition tho. Deal by deal, issue by issue.

This is just a temporary arrangement allowing the tories to continue governing until such time as they believe they can go back to the country. Boris will be the next PM......

Peter, there will not be a unified Ireland in either the short to medium term whether Corbyn was voted in or not.

On the other hand, Brexit and the financial and political implications it'll have on the North is a clear and present danger.

As @ToffeeTim rightly mentions, they'll be looking at exploiting any deal with May and co to this end so will play hard ball.

And he'd get slaughtered. Absolutely slaughtered.

The Tories should avoid Johnson like the plague. He's a gimmick who people will increasingly see through when put under a proper microscope - almost inconceivably incompetent.

Year is a long time in politics. If we were back at the polls this time next year anything could happen. I've genuinely no idea anymore lol

I predict that Tobias Ellwood will be a name we'll hear much more over the coming months with regards to a key role.

Experienced politician across numerous undersecretary roles, ex-British army, lived abroad and a PR success already.

No Tubes, don't agree with that at all.

He was absolutely untouchable as mayor - did a lot of delegating, let's put it that way - and when he would do the Assembly meetings or whatever they were called (where he'd meet the Councillors from each borough) they couldn't lay a glove on him.

The FCO were dismayed when he was appointed, but he quickly won them over http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-36873439 . Those inside the FCO were delighted to see him get the gig again.

He's hugely popular with the old guard in the Tory party and has a track-record of winning. He's many things, but incompetent, not sure about that. If there was a run-off on Monday between him and May he'd annihilate her.

His problem is any traction outside of London, particularly Westminster itself. He's the perfect example of a Westminster bubble politician.

He's burned too many bridges outside of London with his comments on Liverpool, for example. Any opposition worth their salt will be able to point out dozens of things and decimate him. The vast majority of the working and even middle-classes will not tolerate him being in any position of power in my view.
