No i'm not, don't be such a drama queen, 'utter tangents' and 'There would be bloodshed' indeed, lol.

Rather than stating generalisations, surely it depends upon how they work together, IF they do and need to agree to work together as a coalition.

You still haven't answered my question regarding the best approach for the United Kingdom.
And you still haven't answered any of mine. I don't know what the best approach for the UK is.

Go a bit deeper - go into the demographics that the actual You Gov polls actually produce - https://yougov.co.uk/profileslite#/Nicola_Sturgeon/demographics

She's not popular in England.

Neither, particularly is the SNP.

Keep peddling your nonsense mate.

The demographics are irrelevant as to the statement that Sturgeon and the SNP are 'universally disliked in England'. There is no evidence that Strugeon or the SNP are 'universally disliked in England' as that poll does not state where those that wanted to take part lived, the main criteria to back up your statement, 'universally disliked in England'. What can be taken from that poll is that the Tories are universally not liked.

It is pleasing to see that you give so much credibility to a poll. I thought they have universally been rubbished. Might be wrong though.

Yes it does? It states exactly where people are in the 'Top Regions'.

I. Are people in England not going to feel betrayed if a party they vote for cosies up to the SNP?
Already answered above, once one removes the emotive term 'cosies', it depends on how they work together. I also stated that a lot of fuel for the SNP is derived from a lack of cooperation from the Con's.

II. Is it not going to become a stick that opposition parties use to beat any type of coalition?
Probably, but it's desperate and feckless. Note the singular rather than plural.

III. Would it, in turn, not see a party lose long term support in England if they are seen to be getting in bed with the SNP?
See I.

Now can you answer my question please.

I still don't believe the polls.

All that counts is that people get out there on the 8th of June and elect for whoever they want to best represent them, their families, and their communities.
True the polls last time had both parties neck and neck and the shy Tory voters sunk Ed Miliband - also the fact that Miliband stated he would not go into coalition with the SNP - Jezza has not been commanding on that position!
I expect the media to run a big scare campaign on this next week!
I always stated May would never get in by a landslide - my feeling is that it will be close!
I am also now worried who ever gets in brexit will be a right fudge!

I don't think people share your optimism, but ho hum.

And like I say, I don't know how the UK would work best. Devolution works to a certain extent, as it does at a city, county, region level. But there are areas where a more unified approach is needed.

going to get dirty the next few days you can just see it coming.
if I were running Labours election, I would pull back a bit, keep Abbot and co out of the way, and just pot shot the Tories who are all over the show and panicking easy pickings to be had there.
Still think she will win quite comfortably unfortunately, hard to get a grasp on the feeling of the country as Merseyside is so pro labour.

This is what I asked mate:
"Which is most likely to 'break up Britain', May just doing what she wants without a real mandate, or Government and the devolved regions working together?"

I don't think i'm overly-optimistic on this, just unwilling to prejudge a situation that hasn't occurred.

Here's another, do you think it's for the best for 75pc of the UK's transport infrastructure budget to be spent on London?

One one hand it could be argued that there is a mandate there for whoever is in charge, they do after all have the majority of votes from the UK as a whole (A very Anglo centric argument it must be said!) What does break up Britain is nationalism, whether it be Scottish, Welsh, Cornish or whatever else. I'd argue devolved governments working towards a common goal is for the best.

Looking at the transport budget the immediate reaction is to say 'No! Nonsense!' but I'd look at how that budget is spent - is the budget being put to a use that actually benefits all of us (I.e by helping keep London productive, which we all benefit from from increased revenue and taxes.) If it isn't then it's wrong.

I am pretty sure in the last election a lot of people in England admired her during the campaign and wished they could actually vote for her. I, like others have said on here, have no issues with the SNP to be honest and I actually think she is a good leader as well.

Proper Tory style answer that, mate. All the transport budget being spent on infrastructure in London? Well, don't worry, you'll probably feel the benefit somewhere down the line.

It's Tory to say that if money is being spent well then carry on with it? There's a bus that runs through my town once an hour, about 5 people get on it. Then let's say there's a bus in London that 52 get on every 10 minutes. Is it worth cutting one of those London Buses to give my town an extra bus that wouldn't be used as effectively.

And that largely is down to the centre right Labour MPs shutting their dirty grids because they latched on pretty early to the possibility that he could save them their own seats if they kept discipline and didn't stab him in the back....dealing with those backstabbers should be a primary post election objective.

Good post mate.

No, it was from a government statistical report which was also broken down into investment per commuter, with the London spend well ahead.
