I think she just thought not going was the best of a bad set of options. If she went, she'd be shown up, no question. But she's compounded the issue by not speaking to normal people on the campaign trail.

She's lucky she went into the election the equivalent of being 10-0 up in the first leg, because Labour should be flattening the Tories based on this showing from them.

Labour are apparently way ahead with the 18-24 age group voters. If they can get them out to vote in force they could still have a chance.

This is extremely tough. Also, Labour already hold almost all of the top 20 youngest seats demographically, so can't really gain massively. There's a chance they are just piling on votes in inner city, metropolitan, already labour seats. All the same, Corbyn has made this more interesting than I'd expected for weirdos like me who enjoy the numbers side of elections.
