I like Corbyn and I agree with his stance on this. But he needs to play the game to get elected. He's timed this one awfuly badly. The right wing press/tories were always going to spin this as justification for the actions of the terrorist. An own goal for sure.

I actually think Jezzer might succeed in a paradigm shift here. My mum was telling me last night that she and her fellow pensioner neighbour are both voting "for Jeremy" because he's a good man and has proved himself to be strong. Neither trusts May in the least.

All this said after the Manchester atrocity.

I might add that neither has voted Labour in their life, thus far.....

i will add he is very interested in politics tho, its the disinterested that i dont think he will reach..

I get what you say but think the dementia tax allied with the general political turmoil has made a section of the formerly-disinterested, interested. There also seems a genuine worry about the NHS and a gradual war-weariness. And then there's the matter of Theresa May being ever more unconvincing as a competent, trustworthy PM.

Let's see....

I actually now think he may resonate better with general public than miliband

People seem to believe the press they are force fed.

But, i think a lot more people are starting to see the press for what they are and take a more balanced view and gather their own view from various outlets rather than one red top / broad sheet.

A few weeks back Corbyn had no chance ( that was my view ) but slowly and surely he seems to be getting more support.

Interested to see how the next few weeks go, this will be the time when the Mail, Express and Murdoch INC go all out attack on Corbyn.
you mean people have a different opinion like yours?

I absolutely think he does - certainly in the last week or two. My mum was saying how she used to think he was an utter buffoon but now she sees he's a resilient, decent, articulate man. Believe me, (at least some of) the senior citizens of this country are beginning to see through the mainstream portrayal and sense something else. I'll also add that two ex-Army friends, both of whom have done tours of duty in Ulster, of course, are also massive Corbinistas.

*empty, utterly meaningless bluster*

Didn't answer, I see....
Because the example your giving is utterly divorced from the reality of this situation. If this is about the Western Oppression then why aren't suicide bombers attacking military installations? One could argue the attack on the USS Cole, the attack on Westminster (to a certain extent) and even the Lee Rigby attack was aimed at the tools of 'Western Oppression' and, in the example you gave could be absolutely justifiable against an 'Islamist Oppressor.'

But the attacking of crowds of people out enjoying life with no links to the military complex? Really? That's justifiable?
