Surely if it wasn't a hobby people wouldn't be bothered about a pest control method being banned?

And yes, those lambs were V tasty

Haha!

Well thats kind of the point. It was banned by a lot of folk who didnt have a clue about it really. Saw a load of red coated idiots supping port then running after a fox. Fair enough.

It still goes on. May was a tit to raise it as an issue.

But its also happened for hundreds of years. People don't complain when they eat a kebab on a Saturday when the odds are its halal lamb and it's had its throat slit and hung, this happens on a massive scale compared to the odd fox in it's natural habitat getting killed.

Sidenote:

People do complain: See the bans on non-sedated slaughter that are being introduced across the world.

Btw a lot of halal meat hails from animals that have been sedated beforehand (in the Western world). The biggest exporter of Halal-meat is New-Zealand (where they sedate the animal beforehand; electro-narcosis).

Halal doesn't equal animal cruelty.

Thank you put it a lot better than I did.

Il take that fair point mate

Neil I hope @Bungle can see your excellent contributions in this forum and see you in a better light

Neil holds a special place in my heart, my mockery has all been about making him a better and more tolerant human being.

Sadly there wasn't much to work with so in true Moyes fashion we go with what we've got.

It's not so much the act of fox hunting, I couldn't care less about that, but that time and time again, it features so highly on the Torie's agenda. Talk about a party for the few.

It was a bizarre thing to raise. Even those who do it, are not remotely arsed.

But it seems to be raised during every election. The backbenchers go absolutely wild for it because for them, the banning of it signifies a ban on their favourite pastime.

Like I said, daft thing to do. Playing to the perceived gallery, when the actual populace could not care less.

Remind you of anyone?

So depressing.

I don't like it myself but it's still a big thing in my neck of the woods. There's hundreds go to one every Boxing day. And it's not toffs either, there are no toffs round here. Not sure it will have any effect because it's already illegal and goes on unchallenged.

Fox hunting is still legal in Northern Ireland.
