Not sure any politician has touched on that document as far as I'm aware. I'm not even sure it's mentioned in the manifestos either, which is quite enlightening as to just how relevant they and their tub-thumping ways are.

And how much have the mainstream media made of the Dorset Surgery story?

Knew this would happen, this is what a big tory majority brings..
To be fair when I lived in Ireland I went fox hunting 30-40 times and we only ever 'caught' a few foxes. But the damage they do on a daily basis to rural farms is terrible.
I can understand why people don't like it, but its nowhere near as bad as people make out

It's the perception though mate - it's a big old red flag to huge swathes of the voting public.

Come to what? I've just shown you the strategy for the NHS for the next few years.

I come at things primarily from a tech point of view, and it's still woefully conservative in that regard. It was mentioned in the Guardian piece about a two tier NHS and I can really see that happening due as much as anything to people getting tired of the NHS and the outdated technology at its disposal and taking matters into their own hands.

I was on about the Devon story mate, plus that is the area that Virgincare is mostly based at this time.
That is an interesting document, that is a lot to read, however, the 10 point plan does look interesting.

I don't like it myself but it's still a big thing in my neck of the woods. There's hundreds go to one every Boxing day. And it's not toffs either, there are no toffs round here. Not sure it will have any effect because it's already illegal and goes on unchallenged.

I'd say the national strategy is rather more important than an isolated example personally.
But the problem is mate National Strategy hasnt stopped this from happening. This should never be allowed to happen. NHS free at the point of delivery, should not be based on how much money you can afford to pay to skip a queue. You and I know this is the thin end of the wedge. If it happens here, it will get replicated around the country, 10 point plan or not.

You can say what you like, the point is people are now beginning to be charged at the point of treatment (and queue-jump, BUPA-style) in the NHS and yet (a) we were promised this wasn't going to happen and (b) perhaps more worryingly, the MSM don't seem interested.

Strange days have found us...

Indeed.

Never been, cos horses scare the devil out of me, but in general, in practice, the majority of folk that I know who do go, are a billion miles away from the red jacket, braying stereotype that is portrayed.

But that said, its a ridiculous stand to make in this election. Anyone who wants to do it, can.

Why raise an issue that a lot of folk, in good faith, find disgusting? Daft.

Not saying there isnt an issue with foxes mate, but sure to god it can be done more humanly than tracking down an animal and have a pack of dogs tear it limb from limb.

Yeah I do agree, if I was Mrs May I wouldn't have mentioned it at all, but it does play to the country Tory folk

But that's a vote she already had sewn up, which makes it even crazier. They were definitely going to vote Tory anyway. She could have "rewarded" their loyalty in the next parliamentary session. She didn't have to fear them drifting to UKIP anymore.

I do agree totally. I like her on a personal level but I think she is getting slightly too confident. One thing with politics is that you can't too complacence, the next scandal is only round the corner.
