Footy Agent Heitinga to Ajax is nearly completed 3.5 million is the fee, Moyes will add that to what he already has to sign at least 2 players

Yes I know it's twitter but this is a transfer thread. Let's hope there is some truth in this

I just dont think he's going to leave anytime soon old Johnny boy. People have been saying he's leaving for past 3 windows and he's still here!.

In one of sunday rags today its been reported that Napoli was close to striking a deal for Heitinga due to there defender Paolo Cannavaro being suspended for the rest of the season but his ban got over turned and they ended negotiations with us regarding a £4m deal?!.

Doesn't seem plausable to be honest, I don't think Everton would allow him to go for anything less than the £5m they originally paid for him.

At the end of the day Distin is 35 this year, we need a replacement - and as we already know the Jagielka - Heitinga partnership doesn't work.

Where this leaves Heitinga, I don't know - especially because Jagielka just signed a contract extension.

That is genuinely impossible as he has been ****e this season, he is also on £60k+ a week and also has 18months left on his deal. We'd be lucky to get more than £4m for the lad, simple as that.

I mentioned Napoli a few days ago in this thread although I'm not sure of that's current status . A representative of Johnny's has pretty good connections with Italy so has been an area he's looking at. I agree on him leaving taking forever we've been trying for at least 2 years to move him on.

Agree with you there I think (and hear) the best we can hope for is about €4 to €4.5m but it depends how badly we want him gone as the closest he's come to going was to Fenerbache who were probably going to pay even less than that .

I seen drenthe on friday at a party in town

got speaking to the fella who 'minds ' him ex-doorman who i've known for a while , tell's me roy is settled down with a girl from liverpool he doesnt want to leave the city , has quit drinking been training himself hard .. and is going to finch farm tuesday to appologise personally to david moyes to try and get a move back to everton has he loves the club and is willing to be paid whatever to get a move

hopefully its true a focused drenthe would be a class signing

Arsenal have been offered 26-year-old Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff on loan as the French club look to offload his £80,000 a week wages.

we should get in there

The first chance in years that we have a geniune chance of the top 4 and we are being told there is little money available, possibly only loans. Says everything about the ambition of this board.

I prefer loans with an option to buy in the january window. The player you loan usually gives a 100% to get the contract/move in the summer. it can be just the extra push we need.

Love this story if true

We could literally get him on 10k a week and just us him as an impact sub.

Never gonna happen tho

That'd be ok if every player was available for loan but as they're arent we are scrapping around trying to find seriously out of favour players , those with contract issues or whatever whilst other clubs can just look at genuine targets .

I appreciate its been a pretty quiet window across the board at the minute & I take your point mate but whatever way you spin it its far from an ideal position we find ourselves in .

I personally don't care what we get for Heitinga I'll be glad to see the back of him and his wages.

€4m I'd snap their hand off for that.

I would take Clean Focused Roston back, pay as you play basis. The **** should have been played in the semi and binned a week later.

I know it isnt easy mate and i know what you're saying, But we have have done some decent loan business in the past. so fingers crossed. I think we have all resigned ourselves to the fact that we have no money. Not sure if you think i am trying to stick up for the board, i can assure you mate i think they are useless and think changes are needed before their incompetents ruins our club.

No mate I wasn't having a go your just being an Evertonian & trying to look at 'the best' of the situation. At this time of the year as blues we either do that , rage at the board or ignore all the facts and chat about the imminent signing of Michu .

I don't massively disagree with your view of the situation , I wish it was different but we are where we are.
