Ulcerative colitis, it's a bugger and you can't really cure it once it shows up. You need a lot of medication to keep it at bay.

I have it. It is an absolute [Poor language removed]. I'll be fine for months then crippled by stomach cramps for days on end.

Can only be managed by steroids which don't alleviate the symptoms and are obviously banned substances for professional footballers. This will be why Fletcher is in and out of the squad - even if he's feeling well he could have residual traces of steroids or be utterly devoid of energy.

Wouldn't even wish UC on Suarez.

I'm probably wrong but I thought substances weren't prohibited if they are prescribed by a doctor and improve the players' quality of life. After all, steroids are used to treat so many conditions these days and if a certain steroid is detected in a drug test it should be easily explained by the players' prescription; it's not as though they could ban a player who uses a drug that would be prescribed by most doctors including his own.

So Fletcher is goosed for good then. United contract to be seen out without renewal?

There's good business to be done if we can sell Heitinga for £4-5m and bring Amorebieta in for £400k, always impressed me when I've watched Athletic Bilbao, very composed, good positional sense and ability on the ball.

Sorry if it's been posted, but heard rumours of Vellios coming on loan to us for the rest of the season? anyone else heard this?

I heard the bubble and squeak was,nt intrested in a loan anywhere which is why he has been sat on the bench watching
football every saturday.

Fairplay to Ross for not letting the games pass him by on the bench.

Heard it last window.

Not sure to be honest. He's a favourite of mine. But not of Moyes. Might be good for him but we have so few strikers here it'd be a bit crazy to let him go.

But Moyes does quite a lot of crazy stuff so you never know.

at least vellios has been coming on when we've been chasing a game and he's looked good as well. We would only loan him out if we had a new striker coming in because let's face it, there will never be a time when we have 4 strikers on at the same time so he won't even be on the bench if we got a new striker
