Sky sports breaking news: Ashley cole to win 100th england cap after being named in England squad, :D, theve got fck all to report.

Come on, compare like with like.

We didn't give Jags an £8m signing on fee with his new contract did we ? Lescott didn't cost £8m did he ?

didnt they both cost around £4-5 mil?

and didnt we pay both those fees straight upfront and not in installments (which is alot safer financially)

we need to just pay the money I have never had a greater feeling about a player before this is why im so pee'ed off over this he sounds like he is gonna be a genuine talent.

I'm starting to think Everton won't be signing anyone.

I could believe talk of one or two deals being done on the cheap, but I just can't entertain piss-take rumours like Negredo for £10m.

How do you know that the medical condition of their knees was the same as Fer's ? You don't.

Lescott cost about 5 million, a lot for us. It's imperative we improve the size and quality of our squad today if we want champions league football tbh. If his knee was that bad the club would have simply pulled the plug rather than looking to stagger the payments differently.

Younes Belhanda's move from Montpellier to Fenerbahce appears to have collapsed, reviving speculation he could make a move to the Premier League. "The two clubs have been talking," Belhanda said. "If they do not agree anything I can't do anything."

get in there Moyes!

I'm fairly certain Lescott's was three installments.

When the money is paid doesn't make the investment any safer, that doesn't make any sense. If you buy a car and take a loan out (which is the same thing), you owe the money whether you have the car for 20 years or its a lemon after 3. Extending the payments simply allows a club that doesn't have a pile of cash laying around to finance the purchase.
