Guiseley AFC v Cambridge yesterday.

There’s a good website: footballgroundmap.com where you can log all the grounds you’ve been to across the world and see it on a map. I thought I’d been to more :(
Can you log the ones that dont exist any more as well? Highbury, Maine Road for example?

I’ve not done a new one since hearts in November. I’ll be doing York at some point but that might be my last non Everton game this season. I’m a bit skint and I’ve got an operation in feb so I’ll have to see how that goes . It’s a few days before Cardiff away which is annoying as I haven’t been there yet

As I played till I was 40, I didn't attend that many games as a spectator. The league club grounds I went to were (league clubs at the time I was there - an * indicates that I also played on that ground).

Everton
Liverpool
Leeds Utd *
York City *
Bradford City *
Huddersfield Town
Halifax Town*
Sheffield Wednesday
Stockport County *
Nottingham Forest *
Arsenal (Highbury)
Chelsea
Fulham
QPR
Watford
Swindon Town
Reading (Elm Park)
Wycombe Wanderers (Adams Park)
Wycombe Wanderers (Loakes Park) *
Wembley

Played non-league in the North and in the South. Too many grounds to list! When I played for Yorkshire Amateur (Leeds) in the Yorkshire League, we played in the old FA Amateur Cup. Our journeys ranged from Durham City to Eastbourne Utd and several trips to London to play London Isthmian League clubs.

My dad used to take me to quite a few aways back in the day, not been to many lower division grounds though, except teams that have since been relegated like Notts County!!

I completed the 92 in 1990, took me four years which was a stretch with having my EFC season ticket at the same time. Did about 30 eith Everton. Used to try to do Friday/ Saturday or Saturday / Sunday ones if I could when it was a long trip. Did Torquay, Exeter, Plymouth on Friday, Saturday, Monday of an Easter weekend. I loved it, still have the trophy and the local newspaper story. I was single at the time and free as a bird. Notts County was the one I left until last with them being the oldest club, and they put me in the programme.

It's not the same now - I remember always taking my 'bible' with me, the Football Grounds Of England And Wales book, and reading up things to look for before a ground. Nowadays the new stadia are all identikit boxes. I did a lot of new ones, new teams in the league, non league grounds and some Scottish ones, but in recent years I haven't bothered.

Will be over for the Bournemouth game. As that game has been re-scheduled for the Sunday, I had a lot of choice for matches and stadiums for the Saturday. As I didn't want to travel to far away from Liverpool, as a night out in Liverpool with @Groucho and his wife awaits me after, the venue of choice has become Boundary Park. Also wanted to visit that ground for some time now.
