sean dyche

Sean Mark Dyche (; born 28 June 1971) is an English professional football manager and former footballer who is the head coach of Premier League club Nottingham Forest.
During his playing career, Dyche played as a centre-back, making his professional debut in 1990 and representing Chesterfield – whom he captained and scored for in an FA Cup semi-final. He also played for Bristol City, Luton Town, Millwall, Watford and Northampton Town. He was promoted with three of his six clubs. After retiring as a player in 2007, he coached at Watford, including a stint as manager between June 2011 and July 2012.
After leaving Watford, Dyche became the manager of Burnley in October 2012. He guided the club to two promotions to the Premier League, in 2013–14 and 2015–16. During the 2017–18 season, he led Burnley to their first European campaign since 1967, following a seventh-place league finish. Dyche became the longest-serving manager in the Premier League at the end of the 2019–20 season. He was dismissed by Burnley in April 2022, when the club was in the relegation zone. Dyche was appointed manager of Everton in January 2023, and was dismissed two years later. In October 2025, he was appointed manager of Nottingham Forest.

    Dyche; A Great Achievement?

Great Everton Managers are judged on the trophy’s they win, I’ve had the great pleasure to have watched the Catterick and Kendall years but I got a bit of stick after suggesting that if Dyche keeps us up it should genuinely be considered one of the great Everton managerial achievements. Players...

    Dyche masterclass

Totally I know the last (or second to last) of the Corinthians here don't like to admit it, but you know what, lets celebrate our ginger ninja a) Keeping us up with 'loads' of games left b) Winning a f***ing derby comfortably at home c) Shutting the 'Dyche out' simpletons up for a few weeks...

Would it get worse without Dyche?

Dyche is a polarising figure. I think Chris' poll from last weekend showed a significant 'sack' vote. It's all grim, the football is crap, the squad are crap etc. Some argue he could and should get more out of the squad and at least have a go more often. Others in the Dyche thread are more...

    Dyche's and coaching staff future

We all agree results have been terrible in 2024, one win the cup, no league win in 105 games, or more precisely in 12 games. How to continue?

    The Dyche Slap

Our favourite sports correspondent trying to stir the pot. I imagine the team, like this forum, will be split. So was General Brexit in the right for slapping the living Sundays out of a young, defenceless 20 year old. Or was he wrong

Royal Dyche - what would it take?

Posed this question somewhere else and realised it was fun. What would it take for Dyche, as Everton manager, to get a pub named after him by us fans... And if so, what would you name the pub. For me. League cup this season plus Europa League spot. Pub name. Xg Wells arms or the gravel pit inn

    Everton and Dyche

Posted at the time you appointed him that this was a master stroke. And tonight (and since he came in) he showed exactly why he was such a good appointment. Organised, disciplined, aggressive and above all plays to his sides strengths, knows how to exploit opposition weaknesses and get the...

    Dyche’s Away Form

His Everton haven’t lost outside of Merseyside since playing Aston Villa on 20th August, we’re now in December. During that time it’s not just been scrappy points, instead Everton have won at Brentford, West Ham, Palace and Notts Forest. Also at Doncaster in the cup and avenging that defeat at...
