    2025/26 Jack Grealish

Rooney Kanchelskis Baines Beardsley Stones James They're the only ones I'd say are arguably more talented. And Rooney is the only definite one.

    2025/26 Jack Grealish

If Grealish was our local star playing against us he would 1 million % score tomorrow, so I'm hoping the universe treats Villa the same as it does us.

Match Thread Everton V Aston Villa. Sat Sep 13th. 3pm

Wasn't that due to his potential transfer situation? I imagine now he's stayed put he will be in goal on Saturday.

Match Thread Everton V Aston Villa. Sat Sep 13th. 3pm

They have a better striker, better full backs, better centre mids, attacking mids/wingers and centre backs seem a similar level. I also think Martinez and Pickford are at a similar level.

Match Thread Everton V Aston Villa. Sat Sep 13th. 3pm

Despite me liking the message above, I do just have a feeling, we are feeling good, Villa have had an iffy start, seems like we'll win... ... Can see it being a draw truth be told. Villa are still a fairly better team than us, but we are playing them at a good time.

We need to talk about Nottingham Forest.

Ange did play more pragmatically in his last few months at Spurs, especially in Europe. Think he'd be well advised to at least begin with a similar approach with Forest.

We need to talk about Nottingham Forest.

Yeah I do think it's a mad appointment for me like. Wouldn't be surprised if their owner just likes Ange because he's also a portly man of Greek descent.

We need to talk about Nottingham Forest.

As others have noted, they might at least have a few months of the perfect mix like 13/14 Martinez being built on the solid foundations left by Moyes.

We need to talk about Nottingham Forest.

I like Nuno, mate, but his Wolves side was basically a top-half PL side in the Championship, it was no surprise at all to me that they came straight up and finished 7th.

We need to talk about Nottingham Forest.

He'd actually be a good appointment for them, as much as United probably won't want to accept it, they need an organised pragmatist to keep them steady for 2/3 years.

    League of Ireland 2025

Me, my missus and our little girl are going to do a road trip around Ireland next summer. The missus naively thinks that it will be during a blissful football-less gap between the World Cup and next season starting. I can't wait to reveal to her that the Irish league runs all summer!

    League of Ireland 2025

I'm all for her activism in general, especially in aid of Gaza. But I hate how activism has been turned into a fashion trend these days. People wear a keffiyeh, post themselves wearing it with their best gear on instagram, and have a smug look that would make you think they took out an IDF platoon.

    Levy gone!

About time, really. He did what he set out to do with regards to the stadium. He should have backed Pochettino more, been a catalogue of errors since then. Leaves the club with a world-class stadium and a trophy drought having finally been ended. Investors of the right calibre could have Spurs...

ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

The likes of Madrid, Barca, Atleti, Bayern, Juve and the Milan clubs all don't want to pay inflated fees for young English talent, there is always a high premium. They will, however, be willing to offer him a lucrative contract if he goes there as a free agent. Liverpool know this, and really...

    2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

Yeah, that's what I'm picturing as well. I'm just wondering though whether or not that's exclusively as a 3 behind an out and out striker or if it could be an actual front 3? Whether or not you rate Barry and/or Beto, I think we'd all agree tat we don't have a top quality striker at present...

    2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

I'd like to see us move him back to the 10 or the left with Dibbling on the right once he is up to speed. Another option I'd like to see, maybe when we're at a point were we control games better, is him on the left or through the middle in a front 3.

    Confirmed Signing Merlin Rohl

Looks a good prospect in defensive mid, happy with this.

    Manchester United

These are still gonna struggle to make top half this season btw, even with all the hand holding they'll get from the officials.

    Manchester United

Watching Match of the Day now, absolutely vile they get a pen for what was overturned for us against them last season.
