2025/26 Beto

As much as he’s a hate figure for some, Calvert-Lewin probably would have done a bit more drifting back to look for the ball tonight which is what Beto should have done more, especially in that first half

It does make me laugh how some people expect the majority of the players to be 10/10 at everything but think it’s fine for Beto to be excused for repeatedly looking abysmal if we didn’t play 48 inch perfect through balls for him.

Everyone knows hes crap mate.

But also everyone can see hes only effective with balls played ahead of him.

If we know this, then why would we blame Beto for today?

Why doesnt Moyes know what we know?

Pass the ball to him and its guaranteed to be coming back at you. Has the first touch of dacoure. I was only surprised of how long he stayed on the pitch. Should have been the first substitution.

Hes a one trick pony, if youre not going to play to his strengths, just sell him.

Leeds had his number marked straight away.

Love to see his touch map, because I reckon he touched the ball in our defensive third more than he did in their entire half.

Miles too deep, but frustrating nonetheless

Not one ball played in front of him all game and he is partly to blame.

Complete lack of effort or movement.

Won no headers or duels.

MAD how he completed the game.

Our No 9 😔

No I get that, but you can say the same for anyone really - ‘we know he’s slow/can’t pass/can’t tackle etc so why…’ and yet nobody does really, it’s just this weird thing around Beto where he’s almost excused from being laughably 90% of the time because if you give him a great through ball he’ll sometimes score.
