Really hope we hold on to this lad in the summer. Our best outfield player by a country mile.

windymiller replied to the thread Summer transfer window..
Totally agree but I've kind of given up on signing actual fullbacks, let alone fullbacks that get forward. I'm guessing we buy a left footed centre half in the summer and play him at left back.

It's crazy how few strikers score double figures now. I know the way teams attack and how defences are drilled is different now, and an increasing number of goals are from set pieces, but striking ain't what it used to be.

Everyone likes to point at someone like Thiago and say how easy it is to buy a good striker. The reality is most strikers bought recently have been very expensive and have struggled, even at the top clubs

windymiller replied to the thread 2025/26 Harrison Armstrong.
Eurghh, "the field", even Ted Lasso eventually called it a pitch. I agree that Armstrong should be in his cleats, on the field, playing soccer against adults.

windymiller replied to the thread 2025/26 Jarrad Branthwaite.
The one positive of Moyes playing Branthwaite at left back is that he won't be going to the World Cup. Everyone who plays in that massively bloated tournament with games being played in 35 degree heat is going to be absolutely knackered at the...

When's he getting his new contract? He's certainly earned it. The Bez of Everton Football Club. Give him some maracas.

He's a full back, isn't he? We don't sign them.

windymiller replied to the thread 2025/26 Jordan Pickford.
He's criminally underrated, including by some of our own fans. I'd hate to think where we would be now if we had Joel Robles in goal during our wilderness years. League 1, I would imagine.

This would be marvellous. I know two Spurs fans and they have unashamedly been dying for us to be relegated every time we were in the mire, so it would give me great personal satisfaction to see them drop.

I’m feeling optimistic about this one. 0-0

windymiller replied to the thread VAR.
The Burnley offside yesterday was absurd. His arm and 1 mm of his shoulder was offside but because he could score with that 1 mm of shoulder it was disallowed. Utter nonsense. Don't even get me started on the handball rule. The ball bounces off...

windymiller reacted to Marcus Kendall's post in the thread VAR with Like Like.
Watched the Bournemouth Sunderland game yesterday and Le Fee gets blatantly shoved over from behind by Jimenez whilst trying to get in position to shoot and the VAR didn't get involved as they said it was a natural contact . Shows its not...

I reckon we'll get another 11 or 12 points. Three out of our next five fixtures look a bit spicy, if we do well in those maybe we can aim a bit higher.

No points at home, 15 points away, makes 55.
