What’s the deal with Xhaka? Because I think he’s a really good player. Loves to do something stupid, but unless his legs are gone, that’s a really good signing for Sunderland.
22nd July and we’re reminiscing about old games we got battered in while our squad of 16 senior players plus a gang of kids jets out on a pre season tour tomorrow. Lovely stuff.
Absolutely. I'm worried by both the growing calls on here that O'Brien negates the need for right back as well and the fact we haven't seemed to have gone after another option there since the Tete deal fell through.

Mina was great but he was still a £30m signing that left for free. Bernard was our highest earner while contributing little on the pitch and we struggled for 2 years to get rid of, so I don’t think you can say those signings didn’t contribute to...
I’d like to think that isn’t a particularly complex deal to do if true, in fact I’d think it so uncomplicated that I’d wonder why it’s nearly August and we haven’t done it.
Wish people would stop comparing our transfer activity to those of every other club as a way of justifying the lack of movement. An “unprecedented” Summer laid ahead in terms of player turnover we were told due to an anomaly of so many players...
