I went into Dracula with high expectations and hated it. The opening act with Jonathan Harker travelling to meet the Count is excellent, the rest of it is an absolute slog.

Yeah, the dracula and renfield bits are the best parts, the women and the suitors stuff drags it through the floor.

Been re-reading some stuff off my shelf to get rid, dracula, hunchback of notre dame, scoop, master and margarita. Scoop was better than remembered, the rest were a slog. I can tell my tastes and habits have changed over the decades.

This live version she just put out with an orchestra is the one, her live performances are always way better imo. I'm not usually into big stadium power ballads but this has got a retro gospel vibe going on which I'm liking. Most technically...

The hard back I've got here is 577 pages with notes. So, just depends on how you prefer to handle books.

Sound a fascinating read, good reviews too. Just gone to order on Amazon, paperback not out until June. May order the hardback later today.

Goliath's Curse: The History and Future of Societal Collapse by Luke Kemp 2025 Another cycular History/elite theory book, Kemp argues that big civizilations and states go through a series of Societiey collapses and regeneration but that the...

Fav song off the new Raye album, sounds like a 80s version of a Florence and the machine track. Interesting album, not a fan of the mockney lily allen stuff but the music hall and musical stuff is OK.
