How was the game over. It had 6 minutes injury time to be played. Referees often dont even add on the full seconds for subs too.
Making subs to break up momentum and get some legs on the field is absolutely normal
Nothing wrong with that. Extra defender. Players were knackered. Breaks momentum.
Just bad game management by those on the pitch. Chasing hard attacking counter attacks and then being exhausted to chase back.
We didn't need a 4th
HUGE game. especially with Chelsea fumbling a bit too. All I ask is that every single player turns up hungry and passionate and leaves everything on the pitch next week
Beto is more liked as a person sure.
But I can 100% see players getting super frustrated with his playing ability in-game when the possession is lost and turned over when played up to him.
We should be selling him on tbh and recouping what we...
Worst performance? He was his usual busy self linking play between the spaces. He was absolutely fine. It was a tough, physical, strongly contested match
Beto showed both sides of himself in the 2 halves here
First half showed what he can be good at (being a goal threat at times and trying to be physical)
Second half showed how badly he holds the ball up to relieve pressure and get a foothold...
Made up for his bad decision imo, one of our best players consistently.
I can only assume he didn't fancy his right foot on the 1on1. Or assumed he would have delayed support arriving to lay it off for a tap in
With the other players he was thrown on with, he was given the role of pushing on a bit it seemed. I prefer him in the CM role dictating and looking for the slicing pass. Hopefully he did enough to get in the squad
7 games to go and competing for champions league potentially. It's bizarre that some aren't happy indeed. The improvement is clear as day and he deserves a new contract and more time to build
