    So you're saying there would be a crap load more errors without VAR. But also;

    Of course bias exists. But you're a Crystal Palace fan lamenting a decision against Crystal Palace. I'm a neutral, who'd rather Palace won in Everton's chase for Europe. For you to bring bias in with "If it was Everton you'd have a different...

    I remember football before VAR and watch a fair bit of championship. Im not convinced it reduces errors and even if did Iand by some margin I'd sooner leg it. Its takes so much away from the game.
  • GrandOldTeam
    Imagine? We dont have to, VAR is relatively new and there's leagues without it. The championship just voted against it and rightly so. VAR benefits the top teams.

    Its the way they need 20 replays on extra slow motion as well. For what is meant to be rectifying "clear and obvious" errors. If it was clear and obvious you don't need slow motion or 20 replays.

    Not for me. I cba even celebrating Everton goals anymore until its cleared. Do you go to the match? Takes away so much from it. Its harder to take as well when VAR is so selectively/inconsistently used. The execution of VAR kills it, IMO

    Soft pen no doubt but 'keeper made his own misfortune by making a stupid silly error. They're overprotected as is.

    I can accept mistakes for what VAR takes away.

    It wasn't me alleging bias/favouritism. That was you. Football is opinions. Mine, and others are it was a pen. Others, like you as a Crystal Palace fan didn't think so. Suggesting bias/integrity is odd given that's your position. Players can...

    Id scrap VAR today but the ref give it. It wasn't a clear and obvious error so VAR shouldn't get involved. Appreciate that's not the reality of how it's used though. You're suggesting I'd have a different view if it was Everton? You have a...

    Agree mate, the fall/antics shouldn't really matter. Was a joke when they ruled it out against Young because of it.
  • GrandOldTeam
    Well, that's what I meant by dramatic fall. 'Keeper at fault, there was contact as a consequence of the 'keepers mistake. Pen all day.
  • GrandOldTeam
    Pen for me. Only the dramatic fall goes against him

    Whatever way its spun, it was a club record amount before a club record wage on Grealish and a chunk of money on Rohl was considered. Yeah, competitively its not a lot, heck Bournemouth have spent more over the years but its a hell of a lot...

    My wording probably doesn't come off what I'm trying to say.. Kinnear opens the purse for the transfers. The owners, when asked for more money this summer will ask what we've done with the money provided last summer, how have we used it ...
