If there was one Everton match you wished you had been at but missed when was it?

The title clincher vs WBA in 1970; as it was an evening game my mum would not let me go because it was a drive of over 90 minutes. The annoying thing was that it was during the Easter school holidays. My dad used the ticket and went with my uncle even though he was not that keen on football.

Sorry to use a football cliche, but the first goal is vital. Bournemouth are not as good as their fans like to thank, so if Everton open the scoring they might struggle as our defence will surely not be as open as Luton’s was in that Bournemouth comeback victory a couple of weeks ago.

I suppose if they get something like 23/24 points from their final run of games it will have been worth it.

Yes can agree with that; it was only a suggestion based on their reserve squad at that time. Another name that stuck out was Steve Peplow, but he was younger than Livermore.

I have looked at the Liverpool squad of that period and I am going to suggest Doug Livermore.

Is it a picture of the Merseyside born players from both sides at the time of the 1967 cup game? If so, that guy is not Graham or Milne. Could he be an Everton player?

Some years ago, I went to a Q+A session with him and some other actors. He told a story about when he was in Cleopatra the producers flew him from Rome back to London every weekend so he could turn out for his football team. Little wonder it went over budget.
