My bike test consisted of driving clockwise round the bombed out church 5 or 6 times, on the 3rd lap the examiner jumped out in front of me from in between the parked cars for my emergency stop...hardest part was keeping under 30mphPier Head, 1954 and 2026 -

I was there in Sept - not the place it was….the London Rd I preferred. A couple of pints in The Clock and then around the corner to Flintlocks. The road looks a mess now;

Had an uncle who lived in Jacobs Village.Was a really nice smart clean place then. Now not so much.

I thought the Popemobile was a much smaller vehicle than that.
