Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Think that's one positive under Frank. Our heads don't go down anywhere near as often when we go behind.

You wouldn't have thought Gordon had a decent game from he match thread. Too scared to go into his own thread. The turnaround in Iwobi under Frank is remarkable. You wouldn't believe he's the same player. Just shows what a bit of confidence can do with some players.
I think there is a lot of positives things happening under Frank, but there is just too many bed wetters at GOT. Give him two quality strikers and the result would have been to our favor the past two matches.

Hello everybody. Hope ypu are well on a still sunny and windy Sunday. I've just finished overtime. Very productive too. I'm trying to coordinate my next visit to Liverpool with my kids and possibly a mid week visit. My niece is coming over from Australia in the middle of next month and will be in Liverpool for a few days. She's coming with her boyfriend who is Irish so the plan seems to be that they are mostly going to be in Ireland. We will have to try and see her. Her Mum and Dad ( my brother and wife) will be visiting in December. They arrive Boxing Day so that will be good too.

We ate the first of our home grown tomatoes yesterday. I felt so proud!

Have a lovely day all x

Beautiful pics. Did you smoke the mushrooms
Hahaha. Never smoked mushrooms but in my 20s I did experiment with the hubby and ate some and had some very enlightening trips.

Looks like fun, I might try this. I reckon for me will just be English with a little bit of Welsh possibly. But you never know.
It has been fun and interesting to learn about my genetics and the ancestry of my genes. I would have never in a million years guessed that I had Vietnamese or Japanese on me lol There are many companies online offering ancestry and DNA testing services the one we utilized didn’t have a platform for matching your DNA sample to other users on the platform, like ancestry.com though so I may be tempted to try that one in the future.
Well done Sassy!! You really are killing it! Where is this Sandra nonsense coming from? In the real world do you call yourself Sandra or Liliana?
Thanks, friend. I’m definitely working hard. This past week I got 8 Latinx no only enrolled to the college, but I also helped them apply for financial aid, register for classes, and get childcare resources that are available to all students. One young couple with kids that have been wanting to go to college but didn’t know how to begin the process were so happy last week at the thought of going to College. Starting next week not only will they’ll be taking classes for free but through the financial aid they are getting from the government, they will receive $4,000 of cash disbursements to use as they please. Money they had never expected they would get by just educating themselves with a vocation that is likely to improve their career chances. The woman was telling me that they had no money to buy their own kids school supplies and that this money and the opportunity of going to College was going to make a great difference in their lives. She also went on to tell me that I was going to go to heaven for all the good work that I’m doing. She is definitely not aware about my sassy side lol Anyway, it is stories like this, helping low income families like this one that make me want to work harder.

Haha, I have always thought Sandra is a nonsense too but that’s what the real world call me. But for my online world, I’m Liliana or Sassy.

Is Mr Sassy’s English connection in the fairly recent past? Family history is one of my hobbies, happy to do look ups on FH website, if he’s interested in finding out more.
Thanks for the offer, dear friend. Mr. Sassy and I would definitely be interested in finding out more. We are finding all this ancestry information fascinating and want to learn more about our family roots and ancestry. But what do you consider recent past? His family seem to have migrated to the US sometime in the 1600s.

Morning campers - always wanted to do a @Sassy Colombian style multi quote thingy ! lol
Had a couple of sofas and some rugs cleaned yesterday do Mrs J do went full cracking the whip mode ( don't get too excited @Sassy Colombian , I was speaking metaphorically ) and told me to give the sofas a hoover befor the guy arrived - I know , cleaning the sofas before they were cleaned - sounds weird to me too - anyway I found a combined total of 2 pens , about a bag of peanuts , a comb and 60p . Happy days.

I've had a couple of health issues lately but saw the specialist last evening and had a full check up. Need some meds but everything else tickety boo.

Have a lovely day everyone.
Great job multi quoting, Jazzy. At times it is just better to put everything on one post than posting 10 different times. That’s why I think it is an effective way of expression.

Too bad. I was going to ask for a pic of Mrs J do went full cracking the whip on you ?

I hope the meds are helping with the health issues. Xx

Good luck coordinating the visit, Ange. It will be nice seeing your niece too. I enjoy this family gatherings so much. I’m super excited about my brother’s visit next month. Due to COVID it has been almost four years since the last time we saw him and his wife.

Congrats. Homegrown tomatoes are the best. My tomatoes haven’t done well at all this year, but thankfully I have been getting some from friends.

Hello dear friends.

Woke up to thunderstorms and pouring rain, although it has already stop but still is very cloudy but it is also early in the morning so there will be some sunshine later today. The hubby left early to go and play disc golf with his mates and Sofia still is sleeping so here I’m trying to catch up to some post I missed this week.

Yesterday after the match we went biking with some friends and got this pretty shot of the lake. Afterwards we stopped by a local brewery nearby and could you believe they had this flag by their bar window ffs even in Asheville there are red fans displaying their support. Im having second thoughts about going back there.

Today we have no plans, as of yet, so I’ll be doing some cleaning around the house, Sofia’s room is a mess. She definitely didn’t get mine gene trait on that one lol I also need to spend sometime in my garden. I have really neglected it this summer and it is showing by my lack of crop yields. Tomorrow is the beginning of the fall semester at the College so I’ve another week ahead but I’m going to do my best to watch Tuesday’s match and stop to visit you. I sure hope Everton signs a striker this week, we really need one soon.

Have a fantastic day everyone. Xx

Btw, one of our thread friends @Spadge Vernacular posted this and I thought some of you that live in the UK may be interested in getting this home test kit.

“was at the Peter Kay dance for life event last night, a good laugh and raising money for cancer charities. There was a stand taking mouth swabs to identify matches for stem cell donors as there is a massive need and to protect us all - 1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime. If you are a match and can save a life it is just a simple matter of giving some blood that the cells are drawn from.

Why not help, its just a swab and we are all well used to them due to covid but as I say this is just a mouth swab so no nose nastiness!

Here is the link to the home test.

If you can share the link also it will be helping a truly good cause, one that is looking to protect you and your loved ones. x

COYB!”

I'm excited to see my niece and also my brother later in the year. We last saw them in June 2019 when they were attending a wedding in Portugal (my sister in law's niece - who we also know) so we flew out to meet up with them. Love your pics. You'll have to accidentally set fire to the flag next time you go!

It is exciting seeing family that one hasn’t seen in a while. This Covid times that we have been living also makes you appreciate your love ones even more.

Hahaha. Setting it on fire there may get me in some trouble, but I may try to steal it and then set it up on fire at home and I would video record it too ?

Mr Sassy’s family obviously left a long time ago, 1600’s is not the recent past even for someone my age lol. so finding an English connection would be really difficult. I can do some look ups on US census they are available on Ancestry (I have worldwide subscription) up to 1950. Name/estimated birth year/town of residence would be a start. Usually it’s possible to trace families back quite a way using just the census. familysearch.org has a large collection of worldwide records including Colombia and is free to use. It’s run by the Mormon church but don’t let that put you off - anyone can search on the site.
