Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Oh that's so sad. Charlotte passed her motor bike test a couple of years ago. She's never been able to finance a bike as well as a car. (Thank God!) but she would love one. I worry enough about them when they drive. I'd be a nervous wreck if she ever got a bike.
I was always thankful that neither of our kids showed an interest in motorbikes, as you say it’s bad enough when they drive. Mr G. was a biker in his youth and recently thought about buying one. I told him he was on his own with that, I hate the things.

We deserved to win this match, had plenty of chances but no having a striker is really hurting our chances. Still happy that the players fought through the end and that Gray got that last minute goal for us. Thought Iwobi and Gordon had a good game too. I’m still positive about our season, we just need to sign a forward this week.

Copied this it’s spot on, 5 at the back isn’t working,

Lampard has to stop playing 5 at the back, don't care how crap we're, we continually go in to every game on the back foot. You simply cannot play this formation if your wing backs are incapable of staying high and creating chances, don't remember Mykolenko or Patterson doing anything in the final 3rd today.

Sign a midfielder who can dictate the game, crying out for someone who can just put a foot on the ball and relax everyone around him.

Buy some attackers capable of either picking a final pass or being able to actually put the ball in the back of the net.

Afternoon all. Last Saturday we visited the kiosk in our local park for a coffee and chat with Lisa and Carlos who run it. On the way home we noticed several police cars speeding down the road, sirens going. Found out this morning they were attending an accident on the parkway in which a young motorcyclist was killed. It was Lisa and Carlos’ son. He was only 22. Puts football in perspective. Don’t want to put too much of a downer on things though - I hope you all have a great afternoon and we are celebrating a win later.?
That's truly awful Gwladys. 22 is just no age at all. Hope you're doing OK Your friends must feel as though their world has imploded .

Think that's one positive under Frank. Our heads don't go down anywhere near as often when we go behind.

You wouldn't have thought Gordon had a decent game from he match thread. Too scared to go into his own thread. The turnaround in Iwobi under Frank is remarkable. You wouldn't believe he's the same player. Just shows what a bit of confidence can do with some players.

The thing about 3 at the back is that the wing backs HAVE to provide the width further up the pitch, otherwise it just becomes too defensive. As much as I like the lad, Mykolenko does not do that and, for me, if we're playing 3 at the back then Frank has to play Myko at LCB with either McNeil or Vinegre in front of them. I think that can work and I'd like to see it tried out rather than give up on the system altogether. From what I've seen of Patterson he'll be fine on the right. He seems to have a decent end product too which is good.

If he doesn't play more attacking players in the WB roles then I agree we should revert to a back 4. That will bring it's own issues as I'm not sure that Patterson is defensively sound enough yet, but I may be doing the lad a disservice.

That it is then , sounds easy enough . I just don't believe all those will happen this window .I am actually still upbeat once we get a goalscorer it will give the rest confidence and take the weight of some shoulders.

Such a shock to think we were just chatting, complaining about the heat etc. when it was happening just a little way up the road. They have a daughter and are a very close family, so sad for them.

Lack of a serious goal scoring threat is costing us a lot of points at the moment (n)

Anyway, here's something to cheer everyone up:
