Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi everybody. Lots going on today on here. @roydo and @fandjango your posts need much more than a like. ? ? ? Love the pic of the grandchildren and a chimney certificate also made me laugh! Loving the fondue @blue1948 although at first glance I thought the bits of bread were chocolate brownies! @Barnfred 55 I'm not sure about the Terry Thomas comparison, I had you more as a Leslie Phillips "I say Ding Dong".lol

@jazzy and @Armaghtoffee I'm undecided about Coady. He comes across as a complete tit but if he can do a job for us then I'll take him. I keep consoling myself with the fact that Peter Reid was a childhood red and look how he turned out. It goes without saying that I am gutted that Dom is out for six weeks. I'm sad for him too - poor lad needs a bit of luck regarding injuries. My hopes for this season. comfortable mid table (9-14th would do) and a decentup run. It cannot and will not be as bad as last season. We do not have Benitez any more and I genuinely think Frank can do a job for us. European qualification would be a stunning outcome.

Spoke to my Dad today. He is not looking forward to the season. We haven't cleared out any of the hangers on, doesn't think Gueye coming back will work because going back never works. He's so negative about Everton, he would fit right in with the Everton forum! His good news was that he has found a new cycle on his washing machine that cuts down the time considerably therefore saving electricity. Bless him.

thanks for the birthday wishes for Charlotte @Gwladysover She's having a great time in Scarborough, They have found a pub with beer at £1.80 a pint. Dog rough by all accounts (Mum, there was a woman dipping prawn crackers into her beer) but they are willing to slum it for cheap beer.

Good morning all on the heavily rainy day here in Finland . Had a night to sleep on it and @anjelikaferrett says if he does a job for us then Coady it is .I hope all slept well and have the rain they crave .Nice to see @fandjango having fun down under . The thing with Gana that is so upsetting for some is his intolerance -which is just what they are showing -this internet world is a bit severe let me say .As with all world changing inventions there is always something or someone pays a price in with the web it is privacy and sadly, decency .The internet gladiator is not the best thing to come from it at all.
Have a great day all and I hope your football team wins :D

Yes the bread is a rye grained one and it is getting increasingly difficult to find the good old farmhouse loaf here ,not sure why and we are going to try another supermarket to find them ,the taste was not wrong so it didn't spoil the meal but we are with you on that one. It was labeled as a farmhouse loaf though and that is were the problem lay!

Morning everyone ,

So, the start of the new season and football fans are full of hope and expectation.

Only our hopes and expectations are to be in the same division next season.

However , it looks like Frank is being given some leeway to build a new team and my hope and expectation is that within a couple of seasons we will have a team that will make us proud.

Came across this photo on the internet which also gives us hope for the future and shows our lovely Goodison juxtaposed with our new stadium on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey.

Have a lovely day everyone ......COYB!

I saw that and was shocked how close it looks ,I know it isn't so far but still.

My son's first words this morning were, "It's daddy and lad day. We're off to the football!" I love how excited he is and how we spend so much time together.

I always promised to myself that I'd have a strong relationship my children and spend as much time with them as possible because I didn't have it with my father.
Enjoy the game Phil . Hope the young lad loves his day and we celebrate with 3 points

Well, stone me.

For the first time in a while, (y'know), have felt happy today. Spent a few hours with my Mum pottering around the marina, where she is soon moving to after Dad died, @Barnfred 55 will know the place. Then confirmed a delivery and installation of a log burner in the snug, and booked a chimney sweep for Tuesday. And, which still makes me giggle, I get a certificate from the sweep which I show to the burner installation bloke!

The thought of a chimney certificate would have tickled Nikki's funny bone. "Well done chimney, you have been a good chimney" would have been the sort of thing she would have said. Bless her cottons.

Had worse days Rodney.
Portishead presumably. Lovely place. Actually the last place Cal and I stayed over.

That's brilliant. I know it will be a fun day for you both regardless but hopefully a win will make it even more enjoyable.
