Not really overpaid given the free transfer, look at it as 12 million with 60k wages - that said when we give these contracts they have to be sure things as no one else is coming in at 120k a week.

Echo the nice lad and wish him well sentiments. If only he could have been that player in the first season throughout.

Good luck to the guy. Always seemed a good bloke, never caused any drama and looked like from the videos all his teammates loved him. Not his fault we paid him so much wages.

The holiday camp is being broken up.
Its like that thing in most jobs when the crap ones start to go you realise they were shielding you.

I would say we did overpay, he'd have probably accepted a deal for half the wages we ended up giving him. What other offers did he have at the time, i bet none as big as Everton. His salary is so high that we're letting him go for nothing just so someone will take him, if he were on considerably less we'd probably be getting a fee.
