The Athletic article was a good read.

Benitez was by far the most impressive in meetings. Roman Abramovich spoke highly of him to Moshiri and Usmanov.

Some of the board pushed for Moyes or Martinez.

His work ethic is second to none and often stayed and slept at the training ground.

My expectations are set low. He might just surprise us all.

The part about Rafael already knowing the squad in and out and performed an "audit" for Moshiri in their meetings was really positive.

His reputation is as a tactical/football mind. He's carried it with him at every stop.

Hopefully he can hit the ground running.

Why don't you give it a rest? The bulk of the support will back Benitez and his team, if you don't like it so much, give it a miss for a season or two.
