Stop Trying to be Edgy

Being calm and reasonable as a fan doesn't alter anything either to be fair. They are just words on a screen right now (would be different if fans were in the ground etc).

We didn't even attempt to break them down, that's the issue for me last night. We did absolutely nothing to change it. I don't blame the manager as such for that I blame the players for trying the same stuff and expecting different results from it. I thought West Ham were pretty average at best last night, one player who did stand out for me was Coufal at right back, he dealt with absolutely everything thrown at him yet we still kept trying to catch him out with balls over the top of him. We never seem to learn or adapt in games like this.

You would like to think the management team see it as unacceptable (though the rumours of Sigurdsson getting an extension says maybe not...).

Of course the people you mention in the last paragraph are idiots, that's taking things to extremes. I don't think there is anything wrong with being angry about last nights display though either.

West Ham defended well as a unit, once we broke their first press they fell into a deep block. We had no width or movement from the full backs to stretch them, they were very comfortable with dealing with everything in front of them.

He started with Coleman to try and give us the option of width on the right, but it didn’t work. It’s one of those games, they happen.

And with regards to Sigurdsson, are we believing every rumour now. It seems that story has been fabricated because Gylfi gave an interview were he praised Ancelotti.

Yes I do believe the manager will see that has unacceptable, like last time. Hopefully we’ll go on another 4 win run

Maybe watching your football team not win anything for 26 years, whilst your most hated local rivals are current champions, the country you live in is in tatters, and we've just been beaten at home by our much derided ex-manager has something to do with it?

People are allowed to have a nark on - We'll be perennial losers if we don't demand better

Its not 1 loss. It's losing at home to West Ham and Leeds plus dropping points to Burnley and likes of Newcastle. Its great beating the so called big teams but its the other sides where we need to get points from to realistically challenge top 4.

In fairness its a pretty open season and lots to still play for but its a results business and we didn't get one last night. Could be 2 points clear at summit if we'd not lost to West Ham and Leeds.

Not edgy being down about our lot. Its realistic to look at our squad and results and make fair assessment.
We're currently 4th in the league. Is that not acceptable? You seem to be over-emphasising a couple of bad results while dismissing the 9 wins we have had. Only 1 team has had more wins than us. Is it really that bad?

The only difference between now and 30/40 years ago is that you get an instant reaction these days, anyone old enough will remember cushions raining down on the pitch, leaflets given out to sack Kendall and the board or a strongly worded letter to the footie echo,if you're in the pub after a game theres usually a 5 minute rant,5 minutes of who should be bought or sold, then the rest of the night is about having a laugh,if you carried on in the bar like you did on line you would be told to shut up or go home coz your drunk

They just played a simple game. they didn't have to do anything else. It wouldn't hurt for us to have a shot every once in a while.

The main problem for me is recently there has been very little difference performance wise between our good and bad results. Any of those games could have ended up either way. There are reasons for us playing poorly of course but wouldn't it be nice if everyone turned up for a change?

One loss and all the closet kopites and football geniuses are out in force saying we’re a shambles and we’ll never get top 4, and anyone who believed we could do it is deluded and below them in the football knowledge stakes. It’s so painfully predictable and it happens every time there’s a blip.

Twitter is full of them, people trying to say the most depressing things possible to seem the superior bloo.

Bore off and go and support Tranmere.
Lad,pipe down or it will be a jar of beetroot bouncing off your head next time

Yes, there hasn’t been a change in performance because after being hit by injuries to his team he tried to keep the attacking threat and went 3-4-3; it backfired massively. So he restructured and made sure the defensive unit is solid. Which it has been.

The problem is that it will have a negative impact going forward because we’ve been playing with CB’s in the fullback position.

He tried to add the extra width with Coleman yesterday, but like the rest of the team he was off and over thought everything. The simplest passes, he took that long it allowed West Ham to reset.

It was an awful performance, from everyone. Nobody is denying that, but the overreacting and crying is bordering on tedious.

We won 4 on the bounce prior to last night, it’s irrelevant on how the performances were because the points are on the board. And at the end of the day, that’s all that matter

For what it's worth i still think top 4 is open to us. More than ever this season, especially with everyone beating each other. Leicester are no better than us and they will fancy their chances at a top 4 spot so why not us?you said it yourself we have these "blips" also to have a "Blip" you must have to be doing well. We've got a lot of talent to come back into the team so I don't think it's deluded suggest we've got a chance sneaking a spot one everyone is back.

Just to add I do agree that the level of cry arsing,it's embarrassing, the game wasn't even half way through and the level of crying, moaning and bleating is a joke. If Everton have you in such a state of turmoil find another pass time.

Quite. Its football. You win some you lose some. Anyone getting miserable about it needs some life coaching.
