2020/21 Bernard

I assume you're thinking of starting him on the right in that situation which would mean a right side of Bernard and Kenny. I hate it.

No, I'd start him on the left if it's James in the middle, or in the middle with James on the right.

It would have to be Richarlison on the right if James was in the middle because, down to a daft decision at the end of the window, he's the only real viable option to start there other than James.

I don't think he'll start, though.

I think it'll be Delph or Gomes in midfield with Allan and Doucoure.

I like bernard, seems like a decent character. However there is no way he should be anything more than a squad player, and there is no way he should be on the wages he is on.
I see him as a decent signing, he probably plays a decent role in our South American transformation. Time for him to move on

He's fine as a squad player, I don't see him starting all the time, but when you have four competitions, you need a player like Bernard to play 20 games.
You definitely don’t, he’s done hardly anything in over 2 seasons. And Ancelotti has totally given up on him. Imagine Richarlison get a serious injury and having to watch this guy every week, couldn’t think of anything worse

He's done basically nothing in three seasons. Another hugely expensive flop, as per usual. Get rid to whoever will take him.

I know we pay him a decent whack on wages but he was free after all. I wouldn't call him hugely expensive personally.

He's a strange one for me. Any time he's played I've been mostly impressed. For me, he's been much better than a lot of the others who've been given chance after chance. I must be blind to something, as successive managers have given him little playing time. I'm guessing he's not very good at tactical aspects of the game and doesn't follow that instruction so well.

'Hugely expensive'? granted he's on 100k a week but it's not like we spent upwards of £50m to bring him in mate...

For what it's worth, I do still like him. He's a baller in my eyes and has done well when he's been involved this season, by and large.

He's on comfortably more than 100k -- yet even if he was ONLY on that it's insane money for the grand total of absolutely nothing than he offers on a football pitch.

He's like a little boy.

4 years IIRC
At, let's say, 125k a week.

Just a £25m investment for, what, about a total of less than 10 combined goals and assists so far?

I'd deem that massive money. He was worth a try, I suppose, but throwing a 4-year deal at him was reckless.
