Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

Seeing as Gibson is off and Ancelotti looked quite annoyed about the defence i wonder if this is the week we bring in a centre back and a right back.

Allan was pushing forward more with Doucoure having to play alot deeper to cover their threat down our right flank.

All these Zaha (left winger) shouts seem nonsensical to me. If we do anything it should be on the right side or at centre back.

A right winger enables James to come centrally. A right back allows us to have a partnership and attacking threat with James and the new player.

All a left winger (Zaha) does is push Richarlison to the right which isnt ideal at all.

Richarlison is a superior player to Zaha, why push him out of position? Makes no sense to me.

Key to this of course is to get rid of 10 players so at the moment its all a dream.

Tbf zaha has played more games as a right winger then any other position and scored more goals and gotten more assists as a right winger then any other position.

Forgetting the dates they played...

Vialli
Ravanelli
Di Canio
Carbone
Jorginho
Di Matteo

In my head, Vialli, Ravanelli, Di Canio, Di Matteo are all around the same time as Zola. I really meant since that period in time (is that late 1990s??). Point I'm trying to make is since the turn of the century no one has really come over and shone.

I can't even remember who Carbone played for.

Jorginho is a Brazilian in my head lol - but if he's classed as Italian, he is the recent exception rather than the rule.

I always think of that RS whose name started with 'M' and was a huge flop.

Keep seeing Perisic name mentioned. Probably complete wham.....but I thought that about the Hamez talk.

I don’t believe we’d be in for Zaha, but Perisic is in a different universe to him. Make it happen Carlo!

I would love Peresic here. He's been a dream signing of mine for years, but we've never really been in a position to sign him. But signing James makes me think why not?

For a year or 2, he would be an unreal signing. How much do think he would be? I would guess less than Zaha, but then he is a few years older.

Still think we need a RB and a CM as well as a CB and winger to round out the squad, but a lot will depend on outgoings.

I said in a post the other day, that some of our deadwood may appear useless to us, but they could add quality and/or experience to other sides. Realistically, a number of them will know their time is up, and the longer we get into the window, the more chance of a team coming in and taking a chance, especially when they realise they are surplus here.

14 PLAYERS
Walcott
Bolasie
Sandro
Besic
Pennington
Connolly
Bowler
Sigurdsson
Bernard
Tosun
Delph
Kenny
Lossl
Bamingime

How many of these would we miss / need to replace?
We wouldn't miss any of those but we'd certainly need to replace some as we still need a squad and some youth coming through. We'd need to replace them with far better quality though.

I don’t see how he would fetch more than what mbappe went for . If someone bid 120 for him he’s be gone the next day

Mbappe went for €145mil 2 years ago. Also he was signed from Monaco, not a team in our league with money.

Today his fee would be a lot higher.

You asked me what his value would be and where he would play...Barca, Atletico, Real...

£120-150mil. Id be surprised if we sold at the lower end.

We need Sigurdsson, Bernard, Kenny and either one of Walcott or Bolaise. Rotation will be more important this season than others with the congested fixtures.

I get your point though of course. Endless muck in our squad list.

I do think Sigurdsson will surprise people this season though. He reminds me of those specialist kickers that come on for 5 seconds in American Football. Get the right midfield around him and let him ping passes, crosses and shots around.

We could replace those players though...14 out and 3 or 4 in.

Kenny out and we can replace easily.

Really? Thought hes mostly LW.

AQUILANI. Interesting to see if we get some with Ancelotti

Stunning player but surely won't come here (yes I know we said the same about James).

We have Carlo, We have James.

So why not Perisic on loan. Carlo will convince him. We have to think big.

If we can do a deal with Inter like we did with Real M for James. Or we just take up his contracts at Inter for 2 years then we should go for it.

Id make offers everyday Weds - Sat.

Leak the bids but not the amount...

£22mil Weds
£23mil thurs
£24mil Fri
£25mil sat

Then if Palace somehow accepted id send them a list of our unwanted players with valuations and tell them they need to match the amount lol

His head would be turned 180

What will be interesting is that I've never seen a scenario where a player is potentially close to signing for a club to then play against said buying club.

I think if Zaha plays Saturday with just love a week to go of the window then it tells us a deal is now very unlikely as surely it would be a conflict of interest?

Why would he put in a worldie performance to beat a team he would then join the following week?

I think he will play if we were close to a deal or not myself, just so palace rubbed it in our faces lol, players have scored v one team and signed for that very same team the week later before, its the week later when chelsea play palace that may tell us anything as that game is 2 days before the window closes

...saw that link yesterday but I have my doubts we’d be interested in players who predominantly play from the left. I’d think rumours associated with players who play on the right are likely to be stronger.

Maybe Richy can play on the right if needed? Perisic can play on the right too although not his main position.

The idea is we can change things when needed. James in the middle. Richy/Perisic on left or right. Perisic is class.

€10m should be able to loan (or buyout) him for two years?
