i've never seen vardy so anonymous vs us which shows how right carlo got the defence. Every manager before him has baffling played him with two slow centre backs and a high line.

there was a sequence of managers (and some on here, oddly) who thought Keane and Holgate was an impossible pairing

Some excellent individual performances and even better we seem to have a plan for each game.

We’re still far from the finished article but like where we seem to be heading.

The biggest difference for me is I don't feel like we are going to "Everton things up" with Ancelotti. I was remarkably calm at 2-1 and didn't expect us to concede another.

And let's not forget, their goal was pretty jammy. There was a lot of pressure on our defence throughout that whole match. It's amazing how much we have improved defensively. But we are crying out for a midfield that can absorb some of that pressure.

That's one jammy goal against in 3 games. Carlos work is starting to show.

Kean , Gordon played well some hard working performers out there today.
The real star of the match the manager, any of the last couple in charge we would have drawn or lost that when maddison came on and turned it around.
not Carlo though just a reshuffle and away we go again.

It’s a bit harsh not to give it to Gordon, but it’s Keane again. Looking like the guy that was one of the most dominant defenders in the air when we bought him.

How many times have we dominated teams over the years and been beaten. Our turn to play tactics and focus on the result rather than throwing every attacker on regardless of tactics. Hard to beat, take chances, get a few better players and we will be looking up

Yeah, it definitely is. The only major concern at the moment defensively is Pickford. We all know he has some howlers in him.

They did go down really easy all match didn't they? Their centre backs seem to know they'll lose every foot race so start falling over before a striker even tries to jostle with them.
