At least for Aston Villa you can't because literally a 2-3 match win streak gets them out of relegation for good. Germany floated the idea, it's sound in practice. 22 team league, relegate the bottom 5 and start again.

That;s the mad thing, Sheffield have a game in hand on Man U. If they win that they go ahead in to..5th? 4th? If they do Champions league based on league position that would be MASSIVE for them and lol @ Man U.

But it’s not sound is it haha. West Brom and Leeds have no more right to come up than Fulham. If you can’t relegated Villa as they have a chance to escape, you can’t promote teams that have a chance of dropping down into the play-offs.

It’s just common sense.

That is a fair point, if you can't crown a champion because of where they are you shouldn't promote either.. I just really don't think Norwich should be here next year, just a nothing of a club.

Well that’s a different discussion but yeh, I’m not sure they’ll do the most logical and fair thing anyway but in my head it’s all quite clear.

Just curious, what IS the most logical and fair thing in your head? Because I can't see how you relegate teams that are still very much in the hunt to stay up. Tho weren't Leicester bottom of the league at this point before they won the whole lot?

Correct mate. Ye I despise them and it would be funny as it was basically won, but that aside you need to just scrap the season. And if Liverpool are that good they can do it again.
I’m sure they will do it again because too many people had their eye wiped in 18/19 and wanted to make absolutely certain this season that Liverpool won it. If they get denied again then. We can he’a it’s that next season we may as well not even bother playing games. VAR and referees will exist solely to give to give them a win in every single game. The powers that be will not rest until they get their title and everyone gets their money.

I think this should happen (although still has complications if teams as it stands relegated/promoted are of equal number but I don’t think this is currently the case):

This is what should happen in my eyes if we can’t resume in April:

- 2019/20 never happened.
- Leagues reset in August with all teams staying in the league they were in 2018/19 except if there are teams mathematically in a promotion position and a relegated team above them mathematically down.
- CL and EL have same qualifying rounds as last summer and same teams in them as last season.

Simple.
