If Silva is sacked - who could/should we get?

The next manager should have it written in to his contract if he's spending more than 20 million quid on a player then at least 2% of the fans should have at least heard of his name before.

I always seem to know or have heard of the players other clubs sign but always have to google our multi million pound gems.

Rafael, absolutely hate him, but he would take no bullshit from the Prima donnas we have playing for us.

2 year contract with a budget and a target of top 5, let’s see how close you get.

We won’t get Conti, Wenger etc

Arteta is nice as we would finally know where his money went, but no experience, we really can’t afford another mistake
Not keen on Rafael but I am actually starting to come round us needing a more experienced head. Someone who could install some discipline into our squad. Conte, Mancini or Wenger spring to mind.

The only realistic option that comes with a certain degree of guarantee would be Moyes. He could instill a structure and a certain professionalism we do not have at the moment.

Otherwise we are looking a candidates that would not come (Conte, Simeone) or punts who may be just as bad or worse than Silva.

Moyes as interim with a view to permanent would be a prudent approach, as long as the interim part does not become public knowledge. That way if it doesn’t work out we won’t be paying yet another manager for four years down the line!
