The lad is almost the anti-Davies. He is quite a restricted player in terms of what he can do, but seems to know his game inside out and sticks well within his limits. He looks very composed and picks a pass as well.

I see the comparison to Gana but I wonder if he is a bit more Schneiderlin in style, in that he seems to enjoy sitting deeper, reading the game and protecting the back four. A real anchor man, Gana seems to have a bit more energy.

Some huge shouts going out here based on very little information. Nice to see some positivity but let's not get carried away - it's a fine line between being excited by a player's potential and creating unrealistic expectations for them to live up to. Arguably this is what has happened to Davies who despite our good record with him in the team, is derided by a section of the fanbase for not scoring a roy of the rovers style goal like he did against City every week.
