I see your pointIs part of the issue with Everton that our expectations are way above what we can actually achieve? This in turn causes all the angst when we don't beat teams with equal or more quality like West Ham.
Heard a call into Talk Sport talking about whether we are a big club, we just aren't anymore, we aren't relevant, mid table would be ok and if we accepted that we could start to build again.
ThisWe should accept it for this first season. I do.
We need to be looking at this time next season for a team that is cohesive and balanced.
..this is a typical ‘after a defeat’ thread. I fear we’ll have to get used to these.
The slapdash investment has taken the soul out of efc.
Was better being mid table when we were skint and had the feeling of a really well run club, just with not much in the bank.
You can't fault the financial commitments from moshiri. Aside from a man city type splurge, he's put up the cash on multiple occasions.
The problem is it's been spent on trying to find quick fixes. Clubs that change managers in quick succession rarely do well. There's just nothing coming through from any long term planning at all. The players are all over the place, bought by different managers to play in different systems. Some appear to be turning up for the pay check alone. Fans are frustrated, getting on players backs too readily. A potent combination seen many times before in the pl, often with the same outcome.
Not quite sure money would rectify our current predicament. We need to bring this squad together as a unit and with the fans.
Away teams should dread coming to gp. Not the other way around
This was exactly my thoughts. Getting rid of Allardyce was a crazy idea imo because he began building something and then was sacked and it all started again with Silva. And if he has us In the bottom half come January then we will likely do the same thing. Its constant steps backwards.
Silva just needs time now and he needs players back fit.

I'd happily drain Usmanovs fat and drink it for guaranteed 16th
All i want is a cup, as for the league, i want us to play well but the top 4 is well out of our reach and I really dont want us to be stuck in the Europa League, give me mid table and a real go at a cup right now
